Canon - PowerShot A2500 16.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Silver

I love the way this camera takes pictures very fast. The pictures are very clear. It is slim enough to fit in my coat pocket or my purse. This camera is a good bargain for the price I got it for. This was purchased for my pre-teen daughter as her first "adult" camera. It is perfect for someone just learning to use a camera, from a dependable brand name. The resolution is good. There is a lack of shooting modes compared to other Canon cameras in the household, but this is expected of an entry level camera. I should point out, however, that we ended up exchanging the first one. It was defective: it would not maintain power despite charging, and would power off immediately after turning on, leaving the zoom lens stuck in the out position with not enough power to go back in. This fact is what prevented my score from being 5 stars.

A good, easy to use snapshot camera. Much like previous Canon camera. Good photo resolution - sharp pictures except digital zoom shots which can be blurry if camera is not stable. Low light photos come much better than expected. We took many indoor photos without the flash with good results. However, when the flash is used, there is an annoyingly long delay between pushing the button and the actual taking of the photo. Comes with rechargeable battery with good life span. NOTE: Does not include cable to download photos nor does it come with memory card. (Neither are cheap so figure that into the price.)

My wife bought one of these for her job and is very happy with the features the camera offers. She is especially happy with the way it automatically switches to macro mode when you move in close to your subject. She is also happy with the amount of detail and the quality of the color of the photos it takes. It's also very lightweight and easy for her to carry around in her bag.

I gave this camera as a Christmas gift to my boyfriend based on my Cannon A2300 which I also purchased from Best Buy.com and love. The price was the lowest around and it included a free memory card by SanDisk. The camera is exactly what he needed and wanted, He was very excited with his gift and to being taking pictures. If you are a beginner and looking for something user friendly but takes good pictures as well, this is a good start.

Though I use my Power Shot 2500 camera for business it's primarily used for pleasure. For both purposes it does the job and does it well. I don't need anything more expensive to get clear, wide-angled and colorful pictures that would satisfy the most professional photographer. It meets my business and family needs perfectly and I've had great success using it. I'd certainly recommend it even for those who are more than casual users.

I am really enjoying my camera. It was recommended to me by a good friend. It has met all the requirements I need. It's light, small, easy to operate and take with anywhere. The quality is phenomenal, I am very pleased with this camera. It functions well beyond it's economical price tag. I would highly recommend it.

This is my walk and ride fun camera. By that I mean if I am going to an event and taking pictures I will use my Cannon PowerShot SX40HS which is great if you don't mind carrying a big camera bag and a heaver but more controllable system. This unit is for those "I wish I had my camera" shots and you can't stand lower quality cell phone pics. As long as you understand it's limitations I believe you will be glad you bought a (it's most always) in your pocket; camera.
