Great telescope for beginners
Posted .This telescope has an aperture of 90mm and focal length of 1250mm which allows you to view stars up to an apparent magnitude of about +12.50 which is actually pretty amazing given the price of this telescope. I've used it and the first time I pointed it at the dark skies, I instantly witnessed an abundance of bright stars. With my naked eye, that area of the sky was completely black, but the telescope allowed me to view those beautiful stars. This telescope truly is an amazing item. I have also purchased a 6mm eyepiece which will allow me to view at a 208x magnification (Focal length divided by the size of the eyepiece) and I also got a variable polarizing filter by Celestron which basically increases or decreases the amount of light reflected back to the telescope. I think I'll be using this for another few years before upgrading to a more powerful one. This telescope is 100% worth it. I would also like to note that I bought the 80lcm telescope by Celestron, and that was a really horrible telescope. I couldn't see anything besides a few bright space objects. This 90slt telescope trumps that telescope any day of the week. Just a heads up for anyone who was thinking of buying that one.

Quality5 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5Great telescope for my wife, except it is hard to figure out how to use it. Even trying to read the manuals it is still hard to understand how to set it up to for viewing. I am hoping she will not give up and finally is able to use it.
