The Sirens on the Cop Car are Bright as Ever!
Posted .1080P on the Big Screen with my Klipsch Reference 7 system and my Denon AVR-4308CI and Denon DVD-3800bdci, with an SVS PB12/Plus2 Sub puts me right smack in the middle of the concert! With my eyes closed, I'd sware they were less than 30 feet away! I would imagine any decent surround sound system would do this Blu Ray DVD justice, as the sound quality via Dolby TrueHD is astounding! Sting's vocal range is as great as ever! Stewart Copeland has only gotten better! Andy Summers plays just as he did in the 80's! It's a trip back in time, and the closest you're going to get to a Live Police Concert! Their classic ragae flare, along with their incredible Synchronicity in playing together is nothing short of magnificent! In my opinion, the only way to experience this dvd is with a decent system if you really want the maximum potential this dvd can deliver. If you don't have surround sound, I'm sure 2 channel stereo will suffice. But it's like owning a ferari and driving it to church and back. For you true audiophiles/videophiles, this dvd is definately a reference quality Blu Ray if you want to show off what your system can do! Go buy the DVD now! For $35.00 it will make your $20K system shine like any other high end Blu Ray 1080P DVD will! Especially with 67" of DLP real estate! If you missed the concert, here's your chance to get the next best thing! All 5/6/7 speakers in your set up will get some serious surround sound action! Hope this helps you audiophiles such as myself!

Great live show
Posted .What an excellent blu-ray of a performance I probably would have paid hundreds of dollars to see when this tour was going around, but this is much better. Replayable, comes with the performance on cds, extras are nice, would have liked to see more photos, those montages are relatively short. The bluray recording is excellent, high bitrate vc-1 video, great DTS HD 5.1 mix, although all music mix is in the front channels, crown explosions in rear. This truly captures The Police, and I'm glad I was able to get a bluray copy while it was on clearance before they were gone... only problem with store exclusives - they don't stay in print very long. get this while you can!

Re-Live the Reunion Tour!
Posted .Having seen the reunion concert (though not in Buenos Aires), it was amazing to watch it again and see it in such detail that I could count the hair on Sting's arm. BluRay is amazing. Overall, the legendary trio can still rock it out, and Stewart's drumming is phenomenal. A must-have dvd/cd set for all Police fans! I was disappointed with the sound -- while the dvd main menu is in 5.1 surround sound, the concert itself only plays from my front speakers. I have not been able to figure out why this is the case. I have not watched the extras yet.

Well Done CD/DVD!
Posted .I was able to get this for $9 and very well worth that and more. The footage is well done and the transfer is fantastic! The audio is great and I'm not a big 5.1 music person but I liked this! My 60" KURO has been ISF calibrated and this disc is just outstanding , so much so that I use it show off the picture of what Blu Ray can do,if done right. I love taking this disc to stores and playing it there :).

Execellent Sound, good picture
Posted .I have seen several blu ray concerts and in terms of sound (as played on my panasonic 7.1 surround sound) this is #1. I actually had to turn down the levels on all speakers bc it was unbearably loud. In terms of picture quality, it is good, but not the cream of the crop. "The Killers- Live @ Royal Albert Hall" was the absolute best blu ray concert I have seen, followed by "Dave Matthews- Live @ Radio City." The picture quality on this blu ray looks more like a good HD produced cable show in 1080i vs. a crisp 1080p blu ray.
