Great Album
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tweet's long awaited third album entitled: Charlene is brilliant! Every song on this album is composed and arranged with excellence, including her vocals. Charlene plays like a continuation of her debut album: Southern Hummingbird, but with superiority. After a 10 year hiatus, Charlene is well worth the wait, and more.I hope the music industry, radio stations nationwide will air play and promote this fantastic album, and give it the recognition it deserve, because Tweet's new album is awesome. I thought Southern Hummingbird was a good album, but Tweet had outdid herself with Charlene.

She's Back!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say about this album other than Ms Tweet put her FOOT into this CD! 3 words: Production, Production, Production!!!!!!! So many albums now, no matter if hip hop, R&B, soul, pop, etc lack consistency of the production on an album. I'm not saying that every song needs to sound alike on an album, but it's nice to have a CD where you can listen from start to finish and it all sounds consistent, like every song belongs on the album. THIS, ladies and gentlemen is one of those CDs, where it is a truly cohesive album. "Charlene" features many songs with acoustic guitars and strong instrumental elements. With Tweet's sweet, soothing, soulful, light voice on top of the music, it's divine. If you're looking for an R&B soul album that is reminiscent of R&B CDs from the mid- to late 90s but still current, look no further than this album. This is truly a masterpiece!

Ms. Tweet Came Back!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Charlene, the third album by Tweet (aka Charlene Keys thus the title) is her most mature LP by far. This album is truly a tamed and soulful slow simmer. She expresses a more old school Soul sound rather than Hip-Hop or modern R&B elements her past releases are peppered with (which to be honest is unfortunate, yet understandable). So, for those expecting a sensuous or experimental set of lyrics/sound like her dazzling debut "Southern Hummingbird" may need to let these songs grow on them. Tweet clearly wasn't looking to appeal to radio (in a good way) one can tell she just wanted to create something she adored through and through. These stand-out tracks accomplish just that, while reminding listeners of why Tweet's voice is so gorgeous: with the sparkly 'Magic', sultry interlude 'All I See is You', undeniable 'Addicted' and earthy throwback 'Got Whatcha Want'. There are also two exclusive tracks ONLY available on the Best Buy version.

Welcome Back Tweet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a nearly decade hiatus, Tweet returns with Charlene. Led by the single, "Won't Hurt Me", one wonders what took so long. Charlene is a smooth Tweet makes sure to include a collaboration with mentor Missy Elliott on "Somebody Else Will" and reminds us why we loved her from the beginning.

Tweet is back!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well produced, polished album that show cases Tweets wonderful voice. Nice album by Tweet and you even get a song feat. Missy. Mostly mid-tempo to slow songs but it didn't satiate my thirst for one of her truly smooth, sultry, smoldering cuts. It's still a very nice album worthy of purchase.

The Return of the Hummingbird.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been awhile since Tweet graced us, but now, she's back and better than ever! This recording is just as soulful, serene, part sexy, part spiritual....EVERYTHING needed for a hot comeback! Her voice flows over her lyrics and her music is sooooo calming. Even the faster tracks have that effect. This would be needed with that someone in your life, or just by yourself, with that chilled glass of wine, and letting Tweet take over. TWEET....WELCOME BACK, BOO!!!!

Great to hear from Tweet again.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been a long time since Tweet last released an album. It's a really good album but definitely more mellow than I expected. It would have been nice to hear more upbeat tracks but it's great to hear from her again nonetheless.

Welcome Back Tweet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tweet's cd is amazing. She may have been gone a lil while but she must have had a pen and paper everywhere she went. Just put her cd in and press play. Even her interludes are good! Magic, Addicted, Priceless, Never should've Left You, Won't hurt me, Somebody Else Will are all my favorites. And there's 12 more tracks. Get this CD. Guaranteed to enjoy!
