Courtroom dramas are a tough one to sell these days. After 20 years of Law and Order and 17 years (still going) of Law and Order SVU, its no wonder the network green lighted a Chicago based courtroom drama. After watching all 13 episodes, Chicago Justice suffers from character development. One thing Fire and PD did well from the beginning was develop the characters. We got to know there professional and personal lives. Justice moves at break neck speed in and out of the courtroom that it fails to develop the characters, except for maybe a few details but there was no real chemistry between the characters like PD. Valdez and Stone never really connected despite the usual dinner and professional talk. Maybe had they given it a few more episodes it could have developed characters better but judging from the direction the show was going I doubt it would have succeeded. Another thing, the DVD was way over priced.
