These are field recordings and this CD includes standards that "old time fiddle" players/enthusiasts want to collect and play often in the campgrounds at festivals or at square or contra dances. If this is you it's four or five stars. The pieces aren't long which is okay since I'm more interested in learning them and there are plenty to work on. So for an Old-time Mountain Music musician it's a great CD. I'd recommend this for one of my old-time music friends but not everyone.
