With Bluetooth, the audio is compressed before being transmitted wirelessly. Compression of the sound causes a fraction of a second latency - actually 1/5 of a second. If you are only listening to your own audio (and not the tv speakers), the difference is barely noticeable. If you have television speakers at the same time, that difference is noticeable and can sound like an "echo." You can try turning the television volume down and your own audio higher, but with Bluetooth your best quality experience will be when your listening is truly private, without speaker sound. You may want to return your Bluetooth product and instead choose an infrared or a radio signal system. ClearSounds
