    BTBAM Breaks the Barrier Again

Between the Buried and Me is a band on the edge of Metalcore and Progressive who is critically acclaimed for their unique vocals and moody guitar riffs. Their music may start off with frantic screaming vocals then in a split second cut to a slow moody even jazz session in the middle of a song. No one song is alike in this album, but to be honest this is definitely far (but not too far) from their best album which in my personal opinion would have to be "Alaska". If you are a fan of m,etal, death metal, and hardcore, definitely check out Between the Buried and Me!

    Outstanding Release!

I bought The Silent Circus when it came out, and to be honest I was pretty dissapointed with it. The reviews I had read seemed way off base, and the cd was just not what I was expecting. I skipped Alaska for this reason. I heard Colors in a friends car, and had to ask what was playing! I was really impressed by the skill showed by the musicians. It ended up being this cd, and I purchased it the next day. The band flows from one genre to another seamlessly. Songs like 'Sun of Nothing', and 'Ants of the Sky' run well past 10 minutes without getting repetitive or stale. You can definitely hear a Mike Patton influence on this cd, and that's probably why I like it as much as I do. I almost hesitate to call this a "metal" cd, because of the musical ground that is covered with this release, but it really is an outstanding release!
