    Pros

    Cons

    • Only slight CON I would say is that the fans Corsair includes with this cooler are a little low end (in my opinion) reasoning for saying this is they work great but they are a tad noisy and the fan's bearings have this annoying rattle that happen around mid rpm.jrenn82

      Great Cooler for Basic Overclocking

      Posted

Why Not 5 Stars: - Stock Paste on Cooler is a joke. Tested it with an i7-8700k overclocked to 5.00 GHz at 1.35V for the heck of it. Temps, under full virtual load, peaked at 81°C. - Hoses are pretty stiff. It requires a good bit of persuasion to get them to bend in tight areas which can be a bit nerve racking. Overall: This is a great cooler for (in my option) new rig builders or seasoned builders who don't feel like doing custom water cooling. Keeps my i7-8700k overclocked at 5.00 GHz at 1.35V to a max peak of 70°C under virtual load for the better part of an hour through multiple different programs and when it does reach that temperature it doesn't stay there long. This is also without a custom fan curve so I may play around with that and if lower temps are achieved this will be updated. At max I don't think the fans are very loud. With headphones on sound doesn't exist which is how I imagine most people are on their PC. Real Word Application Max Temps: StarWars BattleFront II @ Ultra 1440p 144hz: 50°C GTA V @ Ultra 1440p 144hz: 45°C Garrys Mod @ Max 1440p 144hz: 41°C World of Tanks @ Max 1440p 144hz: 42°C Planet Coaster @ Max 1440p 144hz: 40°C Video Rendering: Lightworks: 55°C Adobe Premier: 56°C Those were the programs I noticed with the highest temps and most stress on the cpu, others may be added later. When another rig is to be build this is going to be my go to.

With the huge increase in AiO(All in one) liquid cooling systems, Corsair has been out front and trying to lead the pack. I purchased a similar model 3 years ago when they were first hitting the market and it is still in use today with no complaints. Corsair has switched manufacturers of these items back and forth between two different companies and this can be recognized by the style of the heat sink. This one is made by the preferred supplier. These are really Awesome! I came up building computers and running OC'd systems on old massive ThermalTake Blue Orbs and other open air CPU heatsinks. While custom water cooling has been around forever they often have a large cost associated and durability concerns. These all in one, closed unit systems require no maintenance and no worry, as system is pre-filled and is built to be non-serviced. They even come with thermal paste pre-applied. The cost to performance is really nice as well when compared to traditional OC'd style open air and a custom water system. Its really hard to justify not going with one of these systems.

I use this product for my I7-7700k and the H110i keeps the CPU cool. Lowest temps recorded were 12c and the highest under load were 65c while gaming and 68c while encoding/video editing. Super quiet as well unless you run the fans at 100% which I have never had any reason to do. Max fan speeds I had were 50%. However, I have the H110i configured for a push pull effect. Intake Fans push ambient air into the rad while the H110i Fans pull that same air from the radiator into the case. Both are set to 50%. But, the product is great and if your case will support it and the 140mm fans, I would buy it hands down. Now and again. Do note that actual temperatures depend on Ambient Room Temperature and radiator configuration.

I wanted to get one of the best cooling units on the market for my i7-6800k simply overclocking to 4.0. However 2nd day using my computer the fan starts making this weird sound. After messing around i noticed its just one of the two fans provided from Corsair. Read a few other reviews online and noticed they have a problem with the fans. Called in today to see about exchanging the fan for one that works properly. ID HAVE TO SEND BACK THE WHOLE THING! My cpu doesnt come with a stock cooler nor would i want to uninstall and reinstall it?!... no computer while you guys wait to receive mine to ship me another one...? makes no sense to me. Really upsets me that i went with so many corsair parts with this build really hoping i don't run into any issues. Horrible way to help your consumers. I gave it three stars because with 2 different fans [ not very good ones ] it keeps my CPU cool. ONLY REASON IS FOR PERFORMANCE everything else would get 1/5 :/

Great product, owned a H60 for approx 5yrs before this without any issues, corsair has always been my goto for liquid cooling. so far I'm very happy with the h110i, RGB lighting is great, software works great too. I noticed a 5-10c+ drop through out my case since installing this cooler not just CPU and MOBO, even after overclocking my AMD 8350 to 4.4ghz the temp stays in mid to high 30s playing a game on 4k and NB on my infamous 970 chipset for heating issues don't go above 55c (granted I do have 4 case fans). my only issue is while the fans do move a lot of air the bearings in the one fan made a horrible noise right from the start otherwise id give it 5 stars all day, so keep in mind you'll want to get better 140mm fans. yes it is a loud cooler but that just means its beastly, it don't bother me a bit.

The Link Software that you download for the cooler is almost pointless. The only use I could find was to set the color of the RGB Corsair Logo. There are three built-in settings for the device, a "Quiet" mode that is thankfully somewhat quiet, and two other modes that can only be described as "Much Louder" and "Leaf Blower." I can't - for the life of me - understand how they believed anyone would want to listen to those. I would recommend this CPU cooler to a friend but with some caveats. Find quieter fans or forget about the two faster cooling modes ... if you want them, you can probably get by with a just a single speaker for your audio ... you won't be able to hear any fine details in the sound with all the noise that is emanating from your computer.

This cooler is running my 5820k @ 4.4ghz (1.28v) across all 6 cores without any issues. I stepped up from a tower cooler because I wanted to get more speed without upgrading the rest of my computer. Installation was not difficult, although getting the longer screws through the front fans and into the radiator took a bit of patience. I installed 2 additional fans for a push/pull configuration and temps improved by about 2 degrees under most conditions without a noticeable difference in noise. Be aware that there are not enough long screws for 4 fans so you will need to get some extras at a hardware store. I have not installed the Corsair Link software. Very happy with the purchase so far and would recommend to others.

The directions did not explain how to install the system well. I managed through the process as this in not my first PC build, but there are great videos out there to explain the install process. I removed the thermal paste and applied Artic Silver 5 thermal past. and saw a 2 degree difference in cooling performance. The radiator housing is made of soft aluminum and the provided screws can easily strip the threads in the radiator. Be vey gentle when installing the radiator, I either mistreated or overtightened a screw and had to modify the thread a bit to reinstall the radiator. The new version has many improvement, but for the price the system was worth purchasing.
