I needed a performance upgrade for my PC that was running slow after opening too many programs. Rather than upgrade to a newer PC with more RAM, then suffer though rebuilding with all my apps, I decided to try a RAM upgrade - for less than $60 I was able to upgrade from 6GB to 12GB, swapping out a 2GB DIMM for this 8GB one. It took more time to remove the screws under the PC than it took to exchange the RAM module - then booted the PC and voila ... all done ! Anyone that knows how to use a screwdriver can do this upgrade - thanks to Best Buy for fast and convenient delivery to my door.

Before buying this particular memory chip, I checked consumer reports for the best types of memory chips to use (as well as on MAC reviews) and this chip was on the top ten. I read that this chip was also good for overclocking speed. It was a fast and easy install in 15 minutes l and sped my laptop up. I definitely would recommend
