Decided to upgrade the desktop with an AMD Ryzen 5 1600X and ASRock Killer SLI/ac motherboard. This RAM was not on the list of verified RAM for the ASRock, but it fired right up and is a solid performer. Would definitely buy again. I've only tried some slight overclocking so far, but it hasn't hiccuped yet.

I had read a lot of reports of the amd boards being picky which is why I went with this speed and the price was nice and cheap as well.
