Customers are impressed with the VOID SE Wireless Gaming Headset's sound quality, comfort, and wireless freedom. They appreciate the long battery life and find the price reasonable. However, some users have concerns about compatibility issues, especially with Mac devices. Others mention that the headset fits a bit loose, is on the heavier side, and has a limited range of about 15 feet. Additionally, a few customers dislike the yellow color of the headset.

High quality and reliable headset

Sound quality is great, earmuffs are comfortable, long wireless range, and it's made of quality materials. The only downside I noticed was that there is no sound boost for the microphone, so people sometimes have trouble hearing me.

High quality sound and super comfortable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using the wired Vengeance 1500 for a few years and been very happy with. I tried the wireless Vengeance 2100 a year ago or so and returned it for several reasons (too heavy, short battery life, does not adjust to small heads, and buzzing microphone). I'm very happy with the Void SE. Here is why: - I have a small head, and the void feels fitting perfectly (unlike the Vengeance 2100) - It feel much more comfortable than the Vengeance 2100, easy on the neck, ears and top of the head. Can wear it for several hours without noticing it. - Solid construction (the aluminium arms are actual aluminium or metal) - The sound quality is great within a nice range (tested within 20 feet or so). I'm not a gamer but spend several hours a day on Spotify and Skype. - The microphone is excellent AS LONG AS you adjust the microphone arm. It's a flexible arm and out of the box sticks straight and does not catch any voice, I suppose that's because of the very good noise filter. Once adjusted near the mouth, the sound is excellent (according to the people I talk too on Skype). The mic arm remains formed when being flipped up and back to/from the rest position. A plus. - The battery seems to be holding pretty well, at least a normal day of use (unlike the Vengeance 2100). I like the auto-off feature (I think it's set to 10 minutes). I also noticed that it can be used while charging (in a non-wireless mode of some sort). What needs improvements and what I don't like: - There is a light feedback on the microphone when the mic is on mute... Unless I grow a 3rd eye or install a mirror on my desk, I can't see it. It can be tricky when using Skype. One good thing is that there is a different sound feedback when turning it on/off. - Everything that's software feels clunky and unusable (custom user settings, etc). But once it's setup it works great. - The mini USB charging port on the headset is... mini. - The LED thing... oh my... good news is that it can just be ignored and turned off This unit is a keeper :-)

So worth it.

I consider myself to be a gaming enthusiast and I have owned previous versions of Corsair's Headsets such as the 2100 and H2100. (H2100 earcups were made of a much better material then the 2100) but nevermind that because the VOID RBG SE is very impressive. Its made of mostly metal with some yellow colored plastic accents (Even on the usb cables) and although it has some weight to it the way Corsair designed the frame makes it relax on your head in a great way. It also doesn't feel like its going to slide off if you lean to the side or look down. They've gone away from the metal wheel the 2100's had and replaced it with the Cue control switch which I'm still trying to get used to. The earcups are a much appreciated improval with the flat bottoms. They relax around your ears much more comfortably. The round earcups found on other headsets would pinch a nerve or cause a pain right behind my ears after a few hours of use forcing me to take them off for an hour or so. But heres some things that I've noticed so far that I'm loving. Pros: Metal Frame feels solid RGB colors are bright and accurate Flat bottom ear cups are very comfortable You can tell its 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound Battery life off of a single charge is awesome My only con is that its Yellow. I understand that this is the Yellowjacket version so I wont hold it against them. The color is starting to grow on me. P.S PLEASE. Please. Download the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software for the headset off of their website. It will work without it but depending on your computer it may not set up correctly if you just plug and play.

Great Headset with Room for Improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I went ahead and bought this headset on a whim, my Logitech G930's had finally died after serving me well for a very long time. I was in the market for something that was from a trusted brand, was very well received, was wireless, had a built in mic, was comfortable, and also looked good. I had been looking for a new headset for a few weeks and I was considering the not yet released Logitech G933, the HyperX Cloud II, and of course the Corsair VOID headset. I won't go over the specifics of the other mentioned headsets as I have settled on this one otherwise I wouldn't be needing to write this review. Pros: The best things that I can say about this headset would have to center around the battery life and audio quality. The battery is rated for around 16 hours I believe of non stop gaming. I can confirm that the battery life is at least 16 hours as I have gone for days with the headset on a single charge and the indicator LED's on the boom mic as well as an audible tone allow me to know when the battery is running low. My only complaint about the battery warning indicator is that the LED's that Corsair claims are in your peripheral vision are not completely visible as the boom is skewed slightly making the LED's hard to see unless you strain your eyes to look at them. As for the sound quality, well it's pretty good for 50 mm drivers, probably some of the best in its class of headsets. The audio range is good and there is deep bass and warm highs. I really do like the fact that this has simulated 7.1 channel Dolby Surround but since it is simulated there can be some issues in games with sounds from behind not being audible. Cons: Two of my biggest gripes of this headset are going to centered around the CUE software and the power port, now you're probably gonna say, "The power port, really? Surely you could have found another flaw." and you would be right but that is what I will focus on. As for Corsair's CUE software there are a few quirks that it has with the driver as well as the lighting profiles. While the overall design and usefulness of the software is great I found that the lighting profile felt to be incomplete. When the CUE software is not running there is a constant rainbow on the headset that I really like, however CUE does not allow that and instead the "Rainbow Pulse" setting is just 7 preset colors that fade in and out repeatedly, very annoying. Aside from this the color profiling is very robust and can be used to match lighting themes on other Corsair RGB products. My other issue with CUE is the driver itself, my issue is that with prolonged use I found that the CUE audio driver conflicted with my Realtek ALC1150 audio drivers on my ASUS motherboard which then cause the Windows Audio Device Graph.exe to skyrocket my CPU usage while idling and in games. It constantly made my overclocked computer turn into a snail and I was very displeased with this. I think Corsair could have taken more time to make sure that issues like this would not have happened. The other issue I had was concerning the feeling of fragility of the power port for when I need to charge this. When you plug in any USB cable to a device for the first time it will always feel a bit stiff but it soon loosens up after a few uses, however with the VOID I found myself exerting unnecessary amounts of force to remove the cable from the port after charging, even now after almost 3 weeks of extended use. I feel that with all of this unnecessary force I am going to break the port as I have already damaged the cable that came with it. If Corsair could refine this in maybe a revision 2.0 that would be great. Overview: While there are a lot of pros and cons that can be listed off, this is still a great headset for the money whether you spring to the SE Yellow Jacket like I did of if you would rather have the black ones without all of the annoying yellow. The headset has great wireless range and I am able to freely walk about my house while listening to music and not have to be tethered to my desktop by a cable. The sound is very loud and it comes across very clear as long as there are no obstructions and there is no interference from other 2.4 GHz band devices. The headset also feels very durable and seems to have more heft to it compared to my G930's making me feel a little more comfortable with its construction. The headband and earcups have memory foam cushions that are upholstered by fabric rather than simulated leather which makes them much more comfortable and much harder to sweat in. The mic is sub par, it's what you would expect from any standard headset mic that is going to be using VOIP software to control it. It's great for gaming but if you are into streaming or creating YouTube or Vessel content then I would invest in an actual desktop microphone with a pop filter. Overall this headset is great for the money and I have had very few issues with it so far, this is one purchase that I can say with confidence is money well spent.

Q: QuestionWill this work with the Xbox One X. Only paid $30 for it with my discount. Saving it for Xmas for when I buy my son the new Xbox. Heck, for that price I'll find something this will work with.
Asked by thesonofbatman.
- A:Answer From the reports of friends and various Internet reviews this does not work with current xbox one models. It does work with PS4 but you lose some functionality. This headset was designed for PC gaming so will work with any xbox games that are play anywhere and thus work on windows 10 pc and tablets. No testing has been done on the xbox one x as it has not been released.

Q: QuestionCan these be charged using an electric outlet, rather than USB charging? I power down my computer when not in use, so the headset will not be able to charge with the USB. I want them wireless, but they cannot charge when I am not on the computer.

Q: QuestionIs this also compatible with the PS4? Also, does the mic work perfectly with any console or PC? I know some mics are more geared to work with something in specific due to their hardware. Thanks in advance!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes this mic is compatible with PS4 there is more info on how to set up the settings online to use the headset with full features. Ps4/PC equally work about the same. Xbox one it works as a mic but you only get surround sound but not 7.1.

Q: QuestionCan sound be muted? If so, how? Slide, push button, knob, etc? Can the volume control operate incoming and outgoing? Is the mouthpiece adjustable, able to move or slide out out the way when using with only music? thanks
Asked by Comma52.
- A:Answer I know that the headset can mute your voice over the mic, I have not looked for a way to mute sound to you. The knob on the left earpiece can lower volume to zero, but this is not like a mute button. The boom for the mic does lever up and out of the way. Overall I'm impressed with this headset. It can be recharging while in use, which was something new to me. The sound quality is wonderful, and the sound dampening from outside sources is good enough that very little gets through. Someone can still call your name and you can hear it, but if you don't like the person you can tune it out and blame it on the headset. I consider this a perfect balance for sound dampening! :)
