      Amazing phone for the price

When I bought the Coolpad Canvas I was also currently using the Samsung Galaxy Sol 2 by Cricket. I LOVE the Coolpad Canvas. And as another reviewer also said the processor in this phone is absolutely amazing. The Canvas has a 1.4GHZ Quad Core Snapdragon 425 processor. Phones at a $50 price range NEVER have that kind of power. Its awesome. It also has 2GB of RAM but in reality its actually 1.8GB but still VERY good. theres 16GB of memory but out of the box I wanted to see how much space was ACTUALLY given to the user and if I was right it was a little over 8GB of space left. Which I didn't mind. That's about normal or close to normal. The 2,500mAh battery has lasted me all day without an issue. No problems at all. Also the fact that this $50 phone comes with all this AND android 7.0? That's mind blowing. And the 8MP rear cams take pretty good pictures. Very good at this price point. the 5MP front cam takes ok pics nothing special. BOTH cams can do 1080p recording. And as for the audio? its 95-96kbps from what I saw but I did some experimentation with the audio to see what it could handle.....and wow I was blown away the mic on the phone can handle a lot of bass and sound with VERY little distortion. Now one thing I DONT like is that it doesn't have Gallery like the Sol 2 does. youre forced to use Google Photos which I hate. But its whatever. Oh and while the 2.4GHZ Wi-Fi works amazing the LTE is VERY VERY strong. The Canvas comes with LTE Band 30 (whatever that means) but from what a YouTuber told me the LTE 30 band does wonders for indoor signal penetration and hes 100% right. In fact I get BETTER reception than the Sol 2 (the Sol 2 does not have LTE band 30. don't ask me why). And the LTE signal has been amazing for me. Strong download speeds. As for call quality? Wow amazing people heard me VERY clearly without any issues. Id rate the call quality a 9 out of 10 but of course it also depends on what the other person is using for a phone. One other thing that I totally LOVE is that you can send MMS over Wi-Fi WITHOUT the LTE data on. I Love that. And LED notification light is awesome but only really lights up (green when not charged red when charging) when you get a call or text or email but not for youtube messages. ANYWAYS I did a full review of this phone just type in cricket wireless full review of the coolpad canvas and when you see gtx970 that's me. The Coolpad Canvas is worth EVERY PENNY. Hope this review helps.

Easily the BEST $50 phone EVER!

I bought this phone a few days ago with low expectations and I have been shocked at how awesome it actually is! First of all, the specs are incredible. You get 16GB of on board storage with 2GB of ram. In addition to that, normally at this price point you can expect to get the easily bogged out 1.1 ghz Snapdragon 210. There are still brand new phones coming out in the low end spectrum with that pitiful processor. This phone went light years beyond that to the Snapdragon 425 cruising at 1.4ghz and it makes a world of difference. I have not experienced even a tiny bit of lag or stuttering. The UI is also very nice. Very lightweight on ram usage and with minimal changes to stock Android Nougat. It is basically the Google Now launcher. The screen is surprisingly vibrant and colorful as well. Another great feature about this phone would be the very capable cameras. It has a rear 8MP shooter with flash along with a 5MP front camera and, believe it or not, they perform reasonably well even in low light conditions! Obviously, this is not a flagship device as there are better cameras available, but the fairly quick focus and picture clarity will not let you down. Try to find another phone for under $100 with better cameras. You won't! Call quality is great here too plus it even has a removable battery. Finally, this phone has a multi-color notification indicator light as well as an ambient light sensor for auto brightness. Neither of those last two features are a given in phones at the lower and mid range levels and, in my opinion, should be standard across the board. The Coolpad Canvas seriously has it all and has completely raised the bar for budget phones. If you are able look past the low price point and give it a fair chance this phone is not going to disappoint.

      Best iv ever owned

Wow is exactly what I thought to myself. I must admit I was both skeptical & drawn to this particular phone when I first saw it. After what seemed as though a hour I purchased it. Boy was I surprised by how much this phone could do. The best part that I licked was the fact it doesn't drop calls as my LG did and any other before that. It was not a "luck of the draw " seeing that iv traveled to the city several times and it didn't drop a call in the usual areas. The second thing I loved was the camera. Seeing that I'm very photogenic , I take a lot of selfies. The pictures were crystal clear. So summing up my review I will say yes I would definitely recommend not only the canvas but any other coolpad phone

I've bought a new cheap smartphone every year for 5 years and this one tops mainly because it has the most internal storage space. All my other phones could only run a handful of apps or less after a year's worth of updates taking up my storage space. I would put as much into my SD card but they had to first be downloaded into the phone, and it would often glitch and crash when I put them to the card on my ZTE sonata 2. The ZTE sonata 1 and 2 had great sound quality. The 1 had best battery life of any phone i've had, and I loved the compact size similar to iPhones. The canvas has poor speakerphone quality and decent call quality, but not the worst. Camera is great at this price. It did have an interface malfunction once when I was expecting a very important call, and my phone never rang when it was called because of this. Ironically, that's the only time that has happened. Sometimes I have to tap twice for the screen to acknowledge my tap, but that may be partially due to my using a glass screen protector.

      Best Phone under 100 Bucks

I was looking for a replacement after my 2 year old nephew threw my Motorola Moto G4 in the pool. I have cricket and wanted the phone change to be as easy as possible. I looked at the lg Harmony and Zte black max. Then I came across this gem. With 1.4ghz processor and 2gb of ram....you really cant go wrong. I've had it for a week and it has performed flawlessly. If your a simple person who likes to check email, surf the web, use social media apps, and play moderate demanding games...this phone will definitely do it. Also has the latest Android 7 nougat and it actually takes decent pictures. For 50 dollars...it's a steal. Definitely a game changer for low budget phones.

These Coolpad Phones Offer Much More Than Expected

I bought this phone 2 days ago as a cheap back-up secondary phone to my primary phone, the Coolpad Catalyst. This new Cricket phone is not a cheapie, but inexpensive in price for all the features it has to offer. I intend to use it as a VoIP phone as I am usually “online all the time” hotspot connected. I just love it! I like the security features if offers like multiple separated passwords (for the Google account) & PIN code (for the lock screen) to protect from prying eyes as I am going to be on online dating sites and don’t necessarily trust the people I might meet there. Plus I am beginning the process of separating from a long time relationship that sadly might need these additional security precautions as well. This is not a cure all, but it does make my major transitional period a bit easier-and safer-for me (a female user).

Only reason I gave one star is because I can't give negative stars.. So I purchased this phone for my daughter.. That was my first mistake.. Phone worked good for about a month. She put it on the charger at night, went to get it in the morning and broke.. Its powers on for 5 seconds then shuts off for 2 seconds. Trouble shot the phone with coolpad tech support. No better off than when I started. They told me I have to send the phone in (at my expense) and wait to get it back fixed, or a brand new one. Poor customer service. Then I called best buy about issue and they wanted NO part in helping with the issue. Way to stand behind a product you sell.. Long story short don't buy this phone unless you want to spend even more than the initial coat of the phone...

I had a Nexus 6 that I've been using for a few years now and it started giving me some issues... I didn't want to spend hundreds for a new phone so I was searching... and found this phone from Best Buy for $44.99. I couldn't believe the specs on this for the money! I bought it and I've been using it for a week now and I'm so happy with it that I just sold my Nexus 6 and I'm using this phone as my daily phone. The only drawback I see is the audio is not great on the speaker... like for listening to videos or music - but I don't do that much anyway.
