- A:Answer Hi Phyl, Our Danby 3.2 cu. ft. Upright Freezer is not a frost free. This appliance should be defrosted approximately twice a year or when a 6 mm (1/4 inch) layer of frost has formed on the shelves. Regards, Earl

- A:Answer Hello Cep, The freezer requires 5 inches of space on all sides including the back. This appliance is intended for indoor household and garage use only. Freezers are tested to perform in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 110°F (-17°C to 43°C).
