Based on the video game of the same name, DANGANRONPA: The Animation is a condensed version of the story, focusing on the important aspects of the game. (No time wasted trying to befriend the characters) The only original VA is Bryce Papenbrook. It makes me sad to see that the rest of the original voice cast wasnt a part of it, but i honest couldnt tell that much of a difference between the voices from the game and anime, (except for Monokuma, which i was disappointed in). For anyone who wants to get into the Danganronpa universe, i HIGHLY suggest playing the game first, because watching the anime may leave you confused as some points get excluded. But the creator of the anime said that the anime was meant as a celebration of the game for those who played. All in all, a great start to the series.

A while ago I watched Dangan Ronpa and loved it. Each character stands on their own and the japanese voice acting is amazing... The dub though it was okay... English Monokuma was annoying. Still we should support this industry and show love if you enjoyed this anime on a streaming site.

This is a weird one. This anime messes with your head and says not everyone will get out alive. It makes you like a character in one episode then to only have them murder another character in the next episode. I found myself unexpectedly glued to my seat, trying to finish the series in one sitting. The story and the art style work well together.
