So, I heard the new Anberlin CD was coming out. Supposedly, they said it was going to be "somewhat darker" than their other albums. Curious, I picked it up. I picked up the CD/DVD/T-shirt package, which was on sale for 20 dollars at the time. I'll say this now to anyone reading: GET THE CD ONLY. While the music is phenomenal (As Anberlin always is) the DVD (Like the one released with "New Surrender") STINKS. There are two music videos, one for "We Owe This To Ourselves" and one for "Impossible". Nothing too exciting. The videos are okay, I suppose. I found them boring. And a bit strange. You can watch them online anyway. The T-shirt was a medium, which does not fit me. Perfect. I'm going to see them in a month and don't have a shirt. (The package doesn't say the size, by the way) Finally, there is a "making of" video for "Impossible", which is also boring. The rest of the DVD is simply interviews with the bandmates. Nothing too special at all, really. The DVD content is maybe, altogether, 10 minutes long. Snore. Buy the CD, all the songs are great. You can always Youtube them first if you have doubts. Also, if you haven't, pick up "Cities" by them. Now THAT is an amazing album. Thorpedo out.
