Sounds great
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I currently have a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 setup using a Denon AVR X4300 receiver. Previous to these I was using the procinema 600 speakers in the front and I thought they sounded good. I moved the 600s to be front height speakers and now these 800s are the main front. What a difference these speakers make. They difference was almost night and day. The mids and highs sounded more vibrant. I'm thinking the smaller 600s were not matching the frequency cut over of the sub as I wasnt using the sub the came with the 600s. I would definitely recommend these for those of you who need smaller speakers.

Matchless
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed.Once again whole these speakers had excellent HD quality sound, they were not a balanced match to my Boston Acoustic speakers on the tweeter pattern, which was very noticeable. This is a great speaker, I recommend utilize the matching set.

Greast little speaker at a good price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Bought these based on review and I wanted some small ones to sit along side my TV. It was between these and the Martin Logan Motion speakers. I listened to them side by side in the store, they sounded different, but I couldn't say I liked one more than the other, so I went with the Def Tech's for the lower price. I've been pleased.

Definitive plus Turntable = Love
||Posted .Wow! I didn’t have a lot of room in my newly set up record room but I knew I had to have audiophile quality speakers for the warm, inviting reproduction of the sound of my vinyl collection. The guys inside Magnolia took the time to show me multiple speakers and brands and these were the clearest, cleanest, most sonically pleasing to my ear. And they are just the right size for a small room. They aren’t going to hit those really deep lows but that’s what you get a subwoofer for. These made the mids and highs ring out perfectly! Once I graduate from these it will be to a set of floor standing Def-Tech speakers, no doubt!

Great
||Posted .I bought four of these during the Christmas sale. I replaced some older Boston acoustics with these. I must say, for the price, I dont think you could do much better. I have tried these without my sub hooked up and they provide plenty of bass by themselves. You cant go wrong with these and I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for new speakers.

Great speaker for a small room
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed.I’m using it with my new TV LG CX, it makes a big difference when watching sports, movies and videos games! I’m using them with a Denon AVR. When you put on a movie you seen multiple times, guarantee you will hear things you could not hear with theses speakers.

Q: QuestionCan I hook these speakers up to a regular receiver? It seems that these speakers are marketed mostly for surround sound with TVs and computers, but I am looking to use them just to listen to music and the radio. They would be my only speakers.
Asked by JFK.
- A:Answer Yes. I have mine hooked to my Dennon receiver and it is great for music.

Q: QuestionI currently have a Definitive Technology - W Studio Micro 3.1-Channel Soundbar with 8" Wireless Subwoofer. Will these work with that unit to build out a surround system?
Asked by kmay190.
- A:Answer These speakers require an amplifier to power them so they are not directly compatible with soundbars.

Q: QuestionAnyone have suggestions on speaker stands. Theirs don't seem to be tall enough. So looking for recommendations. Thx
Asked by Techsefy0.
- A:Answer I'm using the PERLESMITH Adjustable Height Speaker Stands (Model: PSSS1). They are inexpensive at less than $35 for a pair on Amazom. They are great. I just took off the speaker's bottom plastic stand and used the same screw to mount them on the Perlesmith stands.

Q: QuestionI have two large definitive standing/tower front speakers, klipsch center channel and subwoofer. I want to add two rear speakers for full surround. Has anyone set these up as rear channel speakers? Just need two good ones to run wires to and be done. Than
Asked by CopiusDiarhea205.
- A:Answer Hello, the ProMonitor 800 will produce wonderful surround sound. Set speakers to small at 100HZ. Options to consider are the ProMonitor 1000 set to small at 80HZ or the SR9040 for a wider surround dispersion.

Q: QuestionWhat is the dimension of the speaker? All that is there, is the width, depth, and weight. Any idea how tall is the speaker? Thanks
Asked by Alex.
- A:Answer This measures 4.75 x 5 x 8.38 inches.

Q: QuestionWhat connectors does this type of horns use as it is called? can you help me?
Asked by Greisy.
- A:Answer Hi Greisy, The connector type for this speaker is going to be a choice of 4mm banana plugs, 2mm banana plugs, or bare wire. Spade connector options are limited because of the tight space allocated around the speaker binding posts.

Q: QuestionCan you use these Pro 800s as front or rear height speakers?
Asked by Danny.
- A:Answer Yes. Great rear speakers. I think they would lake the quality of a larger front speaker, but if it’s a small room they would work.
