DEFECTIVE DESIGN
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product alittle over 90 days ago. I absolutely loved it at first. unfortunately, after using the 360 degree tablet view THREE TIMES my lap top screen has now began pushing forward when opening. After doing some research online, I have found SEVERAL other complaints on the exact same issue. Apparently when you use the tablet view the tight hinge puts pressure on the plastic srews and over time it breaks (please research yourself). I am a nursing student who needs a computer 24-7 and this defective product has me extremely upset. My refund/exchange policy with bestbuy ended 11 days ago. I resorted to dell warranty, after speaking to several different service support persons and 2 hours on the phone, I now need to send out this laptop to dell. I will be without a computer for up to 30 days. This very disappointing due to the fact It is absolutely a design flaw. I take great care of my products and to go through this without being at fault is extremely frustrating. Not to mention I've only had it for 101 days and have only used it minimal time. I have purchased several items at bestbuy over many years, this is a very disappointing situation.

Already stopped working 3 months later
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is junk. I'm a grad school student and teacher so the only things I used this lap top for is education sites and websites for virtual teaching, such as Synergy. I bought this lap top on 4/5/2020 and today 7/11/2020 the lap top wouldn't turn on, saying it needed to be restored. I was forced to restore the computer or risk never using it again. Goodbye all files that were saved on the PC. If I were you, look for a different product.

Posted .Marissa,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about your computer's performance. In the future if you have trouble starting your computer you can try these steps:
1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

Not working - not getting help
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer was purchased as a gift. The recipient did not realize there was an issue with it until after return period. Purchased Geek Squad protection and they said the issue was not covered. Will not connect to internet and therefore is useless. Why bother buying additional protection if they will not assist. I purchase many computers for my company through Best Buy and will not purchase again. I understand that you can purchase "lemon" products - but when you have only had it and tried using it for a month and Geek Squad protection is useless - why bother? Have had good experience with other Dell computers. Unfortunately this one is a dud and we are receiving zero assistance. Trying to call again. Will see where we get. Will update if Geek Squad and Best Buy stand behind this.

Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the connection issues that this laptop is experiencing. Have you tried to reach out to Dell's Technical Support Team? You can seek additional assistance here: http://dell.to/2sH7Qlm.
If you'd like to troubleshoot the connectivity issues, you can follow these steps:
1. Download and install the latest Wireless Card driver. (https://dell.to/2th3Tpe) After updating the driver, re-establish the connection with the Wireless Access Point and check the wireless performance.
2. If the issue persists, proceed to step 3.
3. Power-cycle the local network. Shut down the Dell system, the Wireless Access Point/Router and the Modem. Wait a minimum of 60 seconds before powering up the components in the following order:
4. Power ON the Modem, and wait for it to boot fully.
5. Power ON the Wireless Access Point/Router, and wait for it to boot fully.
6. Power ON the Dell system.
7. Open Network and Sharing Center
8. In the left side navigation pane, click on Change Adapter Settings
9. Right click on the wireless connection icon and select Properties followed by the Configure button
10. Under Wireless Options, select the Wireless N mode
11. For Windows 8 or later systems click the Advanced tab and look for 802.11n Mode on the right you will be given the option to Enable or Disable. If the mode is not visible you may need to update your drivers and firmware.
12. From the drop-down menu, choose Disable followed by Ok
13. This should restore the wireless download and upload speed. Internet speed can be tested at http://speedtest.net.

Would only recommend buying this if less than $500
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 1) Good storage capacity, highly recommend considering high SSD when buying 2) Elegant and slim system 3) Fast responsive screen touch which is compatible with most of the stylus. 4) High processing speed. 5) Fast charging. Cons: 1) Integrated had issues creating distortion when there was not external damage whatsoever. 2) Produces loud and continuous fan noise due to heating of the system even on optimized processing mode. 3) Only one USB port. 4) Fast drainage of battery (Hardly 5 hours) 5) Dell servicing is not recommended as they fix one thing and mess up another thing which had no issues at all. (Already sent thrice within 1 year of buying.

Great travel computer
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Dell 7000 2-in-1 is a powerful laptop with pleanty of storage. The response is fast. The display is bright and clear. I use it for my traveling computer and this serves me well. This was a floor sample and I got it as an open box unit at a fantastic price below $420.00. I would have given this an excellent rating if not for two issues. First, the key identification legends of the keyboard can be difficult to see at times. Even though the keys are backlit, the reflection of room lighting off the keys can make the key legends very hard to see. I resolved this by placing a small letter decal from my Ptouch labeler on the keys beside the backlit symbols. Second, there is only one standard USB port which I use for the mouse. To use a USB flash drive, the mouse need to be removed. I resolved by adding a multiport USB 3.0 device to the smaller UBD-C "Oval" port. With those issues addressed as I did, I rate this an excellent unit.

Overall good laptop for school and work
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the feel and look of the laptop, smooth and sleek. I love the touch screen and "Tablet mode." I am confused on how to print the screen or get back to my background, and can't figure out how to fix it. So for that, I suggest a more accessible manual that gives these usual tips or answers. I don't love that there is only ONE USB port, it drastically reduces the amount of tech that I can use at the same time. The camera is good quality and overall, the computer has quick speed and a great amount of internal data.
