Dell - Inspiron 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 4GB Memory - 500GB Hard Drive - Black Matte

If you need a laptop for gaming, school, or just surfing the web, this laptop is perfect for you! I just got this recently, and so far this works GREAT! Not only is the price a good deal, but this works super fast, even if my wifi bar was low, like about 2 bars. I use this laptop for gaming, like mmorpg games, also League of Legends, and I use this laptop for school too. Also, my videos load pretty well. Much better than my old laptop. So far I do not regret buying this laptop at all and am completely happy with it. The touch screen is also super nice. When my hands are too occupied for a mouse, ill just simply quickly touch my screen, and it takes me where I want to. Also, this laptop has FOUR USB plug-ins. This is really great because i use my wireless mouse, iphone charger, usb drive, wacom, and a lot of other stuff. Plus, This laptop was very easy to set up for me. What I really like about this laptop is that the bottom part of the laptop, (where the touch pad and keyboard is), is very very smooth and not like one of those plain plastic flat feel. They made it so that you can feel comfortable. On my old laptop, i got dirty marks from my palm because i was typing a lot on my keyboard. But since this laptop is black, and the feel is just "perfect and smooth" I don't need to worry about that all! Overall, I really recommend this laptop for those of you who do not have enough to buy a $500+ expensive laptop, or those who just want a laptop for gaming and school but need to convince your parents to buy one, or if you just want a really nice and simple laptop. I bought is laptop because my Dell Desktop of many years was slowing down so I needed something faster for internet, job searching and social networking. I didn't have a lot of money to spend so when I found this Dell - Inspiron Laptop for such a great price, I did what I normally do - researched it and shopped around. There were very few other options for this price range and the fact that his laptop had an Intel Core i3 processor was a BIG selling point for me. This laptop got good reviews and Best Buy's price was one of the best I could find. It actually wasn't until I went into Best Buy that I discovered the touch screen. I was sold. My only cons for this laptop is that viewing the screen can be a little difficult without proper positioning and I wish the contrast and brightness controls were a little easier to locate and use. The sound was ok but with my JBL Bluetooth Flip speaker is it great. So, the reviews were good, the price was right and the availability was immediate and I purchased the next day.

This wasn't my first pick as I really didn't want to learn windows 8.1 and was looking for windows 7. However the price and features drew me in and I bought it. I am not sorry. Windows 8 is not much different than 7 when using a mouse and you can slowly work your way into touchscreen IF you wanted to. I used the mouse almost exclusively the first few weeks. You can set up the screen to mimic seven and things are working well. The computer has given me no problems so far. All updates and newer drivers were installed automatically and shortly I was up and using this during a week road trip away from home. I am used to a 24" screen on my desktop at home and thought this screen would seem tiny but shortly I adjusted and find myself using the laptop and the slower XP desktop just sits there now. This is a nice blending of price and features, especially when I wanted one with a DVD RW and many laptops now no longer include them.

Earlier I have used dell laptops given by my employer, however this is the first one i bought for personal use. I have an Acer core 2 duo laptop which is still serving well. I bought this as additional one. If you have moderate use of MS Office applications, internet usage, few games, youtube; this laptop serves the purpose. Battery on a single charge lasts 3.5-4 hrs use. Wifi reception is also good. The external body is black matte with textures which give the laptop a premium feel. The laptop is good and it comes with windows 8.1 and touch screen which is added advantage.

I bought this laptop for my daughter when she was in her junior year of high school and we were hoping to get something that would be useful for when she moved to college but also wouldn't break our bank. It worked smoothly until a few months it began to act up over hard drive issues but we took it in to Geek Squad and got it fixed for about $100. She is now in her Freshman year of college and the laptop hasn't had anymore issues. The touch screen still works perfectly fine after two years. Don't regret this purchase.

I resisted getting a W8 unit - but the installation of Start 8 made the unit look and operate the same as W7 - and I can go back to the 8.1 metro screen any time I want. So no learning curve. I got the Touch Screen but I don't find in too handy in a laptop - a bit clumsy to have to reach so far out to use in that manner. But I wanted to give it a try - maybe if I use it a bit more I will get accustomed to it. I don't use this unit as a "carry around" unit like many do in business. I use it mainly as an addition to my desktop and only carry it around to use for presentations and on pleasure trips to check e-mail and that sort of thing.

I purchased this computer for basic Microsoft office/internet use and it has done its job. The touch screen is a nice feature but it hasn't changed how I use the computer. It's not super fast, but it doesn't make me pull my hair out either. Its plain and heavy, so not great for travel but that's not a big deal for us. Overall it's not anything to shoot fireworks over, but it's a great budget computer that does what it's supposed to.

except for the flat part of key board to respond when you click on it ,I can so far not see any major issues with the laptop .Keep in mind I have only it in use a few weeks .And once again the screen is perfect for on-line movies in fact my my is only a few inches smaller than my family member"s desk top computer. I am an older generation person and don"t need a smaller size laptop or those other type more modern ones. Thus for the 300 to 400.00 dollars I paid for mine I have also a camera as part of it features . Definitely a good deal.
