The SSD is mounted on the motherboard but there are 2 connectors for standard 2.5" drives as well. The bios was set for secure boot and it took a few attempts to be able to can Windows and load Kubuntu from scratch. I also found a good deal on a 32GB ram set and a 1TB SSD 2.5" drive. The 8 core (16 thread) i7 with those additions really screams!

I was not informed there was no CD/DVD drive when I purchased this and I asked about bringing my CDs in to install programs and was not told then.
