Great mid-range AVR for doing 7.1. You need to know your way around the settings of a newer AVR to properly set up, but there is a built-in setup assistant. Great for Apple AirPlay if you use that, no drop-outs etc. Separate EQ for each speaker is nice for fine-tuning.

Tons of power. Lots of in / outputs. iOS app is a bit weak, but it does the job. Good looking unit and not too overwhelming for my spouse to operate. Very flexible with 3 unique zones and lots of assignable power options.

Great receiver for anyone looking for sound quality and lots of connectivity. The image upconversion is very decent, and all sources look great (HD+) on my 60-inch plasma TV. The setup was straight forward and the result was a very balanced and natural surround sound system.
