I've loved the previous Despicable Me (and Minion) movies, and although I think the franchise might be starting to wear a little thin, I did enjoy this movie. OK, now the "disclosure": Admittedly, other than me being a Despicable fan, there were two other driving forces that led me to purchase this Blu-ray. First, it was on sale at the time (always a good thing). More importantly though, I had just purchased a new Dolby-Vision capable 4K Blu-ray player, and wanted to try a movie that was DV encoded (which this is). My TV already supported DV, but I had never been able to use that feature before this. That's not to say that I wouldn't have picked this movie up eventually anyway, it's a great movie. Perhaps I just got it sooner than I might have otherwise. So, for those with Dolby Vision systems, I think you'll appreciate the image quality ... it's phenomenal. For everyone though, this is still a movie worth watching, especially if you're a Despicable fan.

The 3rd installment of the Despicable Me series is a twist on the original. Having reformed himself from his despicable ways, Gru marries Lucy and finds himself is in a dilemma that causes him to rethink his reformed life, especially when he finds out he has a brother that is maintaining his old lifestyle with success. The adventure that unfolds is in the same hilarious category as the original story with an added side story concerning the Minions who had previously abandoned their reformed creator and are now rethinking their decision, as well. Lots of Fun and Laughs!.

While there was fun to be had with Minions, it eventually found its way from potentially excellent entry in the series to overlong short that should have remained an extra on the home release. Not here, as Gru & the girls are all in on the "proper" series, and with Trey Parker as Balthazar, they landed a perfect opponent. It's been awhile since I've watched the first two Despicable Me films, but this fell right in line with the rest in entertaining my son and I from beginning to end.

Hilarious and original. After the debacle that was Minions, Despicable Me 3 returns the franchise to awesome-ness. 80's nostalgia works for us parents, and the clean humor works for our kids. Was a joy to watch, and looks very good in 4K. The only issue is that the minions storyline was too removed. Part of what makes this franchise work well was the humor the minions bring. That was somewhat missing in this film. nonetheless, still worthy of 4 stars overall.

My son and I enjoy the Despicable Me series and the Minions of course! In part 3, Gru meets his long lost twin brother Dru and they end up making mayhem. Gru lost his job so he wanted to find something new to do. Along comes his brother who convinces him to be bad again. As usual, there are the supporting characters and the wacky and funny Minions to help or "hinder" Gru!

A lot of movie franchises can get stale after a while, especially animated movies, but the Despicable Me series continues to hit home runs. This movie has all the fun you have come to expect from Gru and the minions. Can be enjoyed by all ages, but there is a scene at the beginning of the move where Gru's nearly bare behind is prominent. The 4K disc played flawlessly on my XBOX ONE S.

This is the only Despicable Me movie that we didn’t see in the theater. We’ve been burned in the past by buying movies we haven’t seen in the theater, on tv, or by renting them first, but we rolled the dice on this one and are very happy with our purchase. The story is solid, and the visuals and audio are great.

Purchased for my family as my kids love the previous movies. This one is pretty good as well and worth the purchase, but IMO the first one is probably still the most enjoyable. Purchased on sale which made it more worth it. I find the 4K effects to be very good; animated movies and ones with a lot of special effects really make you appreciate the increased fidelity.
