My original Casio battery was dead as a doornail, refused to charge. This is apparently a common problem, so a replacement battery was in order. Yes there are cheaper alternatives online, but you can't return them if they don't work. Worth it to me to pay the $$ and have exchange option at Best Buy. Battery charges very quickly and works great. Better a new battery than a new camera.

Right size but lower capacity it needs to be the same power as the original type
