Disney Infinity Starter Pack - Nintendo Wii

We love Disney and are familiar with the Skylanders games, so we knew that we would need to buy extra characters for game-play, but the power up discs frustrating. They are is sealed packets, so you have no clue what you are getting. We have power up discs that we don't have characters for and vice-versa. It is frustrating because this game already costs a small fortune and now we are getting duplicate discs, which is a waste of my children's money (they use their allowance to buy them). It seems like a moneymaking ploy rather than family-friendly. I still love the game and Disney, but they have slipped a notch over those power up discs!

We got this so that the kids could really get an immersive experience in creating their own worlds to pay in with any character of their choosing. IT's well thought out and enough entertainment for the whole family. FOr us, version 2.0 came out a few weeks after this purchase and while it is backwards compatible, this version will miss out on new characters.

We like this game for our 9 year old and because its Disney themed and you can buy your favorite characters to play with in the game. I felt the graphics could be better but maybe that's me holding our TV up to really high standards since its new too. The game doesn't look like it will ever get "old" so maybe it will preserve our young childhood a little while longer.

Now that we are up and running the kids love playing it. The only two not so great things are that (1)the initial set up/getting started was time consuming and (2) now the kids are looking to collect all the game characters. It came with 3 characters but not necessarily their favorites and not ones from the same movie. The upside is that now I know what they'll want for Bday and holiday presents. Haven't had much of a chance to play it myself but as I stated before, the kids have had a lot of fun with this addition to our Wii.

This was a gift for my kids birthday. They seem to love playing it almost as much as skylanders. We have the Wii version. My kids are 6 and 9 years old. They want more characters.... of course! I think it is a good game.

My 10 year old son saved up his money to purchase. He has really enjoyed it and even allows his brothers to play too.

Overall, the game is pretty awesome. I've found that some of the missions are definitely pretty challenging, but not impossible. I love the game's graphics and the voices, while not wonderful, aren't terrible either. There is always something to do and I'm really impressed with the game itself. I also love that the starter pack came with everything instead of spending a ton of money buying six different components.

My 10 yr old son was excited to get and play this game. He loves the Disney characters (esp. Jack Sparrow). He finished the game in a very short time and is not really interested in the build your own level aspect of the game. It just was not challenging enough for him. He had fun and enjoyed the game but has not played it since he finished. This might be more appropriate for younger children.
