Fast, fun and amazing experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DJI FPV is an amazing drone, too much fun and adrenaline. Love the Goggles, that FPV experience is breathtaking, especially when you are flying a drone for the first time. It’s incredible fast, although I’ve never flown the drone in Sport mode yet, but that machine is FAST. This was my first drone, and I learned how to fly using the DJI Virtual Flight mobile app, and it was very helpful. So, don’t be afraid if you are considering this one as your first drone, you can handle it. Video and picture quality are amazing. Only downside here is the battery life: it will last around 10-15 min (Normal mode) and getting an extra battery will cost you around $150 (you’ll need it). Overall, is an amazing drone and you’ll love the FPV experience and the speed of this amazing piece of machine.

BUY IT!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I guess I found myself in a situation where I wanted to get back into my childhood dream of owning an RC car. Well, OK, RC cars are expensive so I found myself stair steppped into this price point after watching several YouTube videos and researching I pulled the trigger, this thing is awesome. It has a lot of safety mechanisms within the flight controls to prevent crashes so it’s easy for someone like me to pull out of the box charge, update and you’re flying within the first two hours. There was no buyers remorse after my first flight and I have actually thought about taking actual flight lessons to fly an actual airplane. I hope this helps whoever’s thinking about getting into this hobby, good luck and Godspeed.

DJI FPV is a great drone for the beginners
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great FPV drone for the beginners. It has all and the battery is excellent. Pros: - Built-in Horizontal Lock helps for the beginners. - Flight time is Excellent- up to 20 minutes. - Great Camera - 4K 60fps - Flight Distance / signal is Excellent - Up to 12km Cons: - The controller only works with DJI FPV drone - Too Heavy - The drone is too expensive compare to other FPV drones - DJI Care is too expensive and deductible is too high - In order to repair one arm, you have to pay the full deductible which is not fair.

Best Drone
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the most Fun, enjoyable, exiting drone I’ve purchased. I’m not quite there to use the Manuel mode yet but I still have a blast flying this baby around! It’s not hard to fly but does require some skill to fly it. This drone is fast! I assure you once you have It done to a T it’s all fun from There. Highly recommend this drone! There are some down side to this tho. The battery life is not the best. You can Get honestly about 20 min flight time but if you put It in sport mode it cuts it down a lot lol

This is not your fathers Phantom
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent drone for those wanting to get into FPV cinematic flight . Notice I said cinematic , not freestyle or racing . DJI has done an excellent job of combining some of the best attributes of the Mavic Pro series with the ability to do aerobatics while filming . This is not the drone to be flying low between trees or other objects in manual mode as it is a heavy camera ship , not a agile carbon fiber framed purpose built drone . It still takes excellent shots slow and low if you stay in the more user friendly Normal or Sport modes . I'm afraid DJI's marketing will cause this drone to fall into the hands of many who will be reckless and irresponsible and lead to further loss of the RC hobby that we have enjoyed for decades before these "Fly their self" products started hitting the shelves . I have also been building and flying drones since the days of using 4 separate helicopter gyros on the arms just to get one to hover . I still purchased the DJI FPV drone simply because it does a great job for what it is ......A Cinematic camera ship that can flip & roll . One final note : It is surprising that the one I purchased did not arrive damaged . Best Buy simply tossed it into a large box with absolutely no packing . It's actually another star in DJI's favor for their packaging of the drone itself .

Fast & Fun!!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid drone. Takes crisp 4k video and clean looking photos too! (See example) Flys safely around in ‘Normal’ mode, fast without safety sensors stopping you in ‘Sport’ mode, and I have yet to fly in manual mode yet, however I know that’s where it’s full potential will be released. Definitely a fun experience to fly at 29meters/sec around in sport mode though! Be aware of the propeller’s strength and ability to do damage, as I can tell they are twice as strong as the mavic air’s props.

Extremely Versatile, Extremely Fast
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely insane! This thing is extremely versatile, and extremely fast. This is a good drone for people who've flown other DJI drones before but if you're looking for a first time buy I'd suggest something maybe a little slower pace. Head set is Phenomenal! If you've played VR before then this is exactly like playing Oculus or the HTC Vive. You will get used to the flying controls/orientation very fast. The resolution of the video feed is incredible, I feel like Im flying! 4K Camera footage is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The sound this thing makes is very distinct. The type where you will know if someone else is flying one of these bad boys in the same area as you. 10/10 awesome FPV. Hope this helps, ~Tyler

Fun FPV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying I've flown several GOS drones from the Mavic series but this drone is so much fun to fly! Easy to set up and get started. So yourself a favor and use the DJI Flight Simulator. I got motion sickness using the remote control so I switched to the motion controller I purchased separately and that did the trick. My first flight was in Normal mode and then I started using Sport mode. This is where the fun begins. I have not flown in Manual mode yet because I need to practice a lot more. I would highly recommend this drone. It is a little pricey bit has capabilities my other drones do not have.

Q: QuestionDoes this fly more combo come with more than 1 battery?
Asked by Drew.
- A:Answer No. This isn't the fly more combo. This is the drone and goggles combo. The fly more combo is sold separately, as of this posting not available via Best Buy. You can purchase the fly more directly from DJI.

Q: QuestionWould this be a set up for a beginner, or are there any better ones from Beginner Adult? No need to be sarcastic because i am seriously wanting to know.
Asked by Novice.
- A:Answer This is a somewhat of a complicated question and really depends on what you intend to use it for. Do I think you could learn to operate this device fairly easily and quickly? Yes. DJI has made these things so easy to use, almost anyone can do it. That is not to say that anyone can pick it up and start using it to its full potential right out of the box. But to operate it at a basic, yet fun level (get it up in the air, learn to navigate it, get some fun video footage, etc.) yeah, sure. Do I think this device is a good option for a 1st time drone user? Not at all. FPV is a fun and interesting way to fly but it locks you into using the goggles to see what the camera sees. For a beginner, I think you would better off starting with a more traditional set up with a phone attached to the radio controller for live video feed, or a controller with a built-in video screen so you can see what the camera sees and also look at the vehicle directly interchangeably/at will. You can connect a phone to the FPV controller, but it does not mount to the controller, so either you have someone holding it for you or you have to use one hand for the phone and one for the controller. Removing the goggles to look directly at the vehicle (for whatever reason - and there are many reasons you would want/need to look at it) is a pain. Yes, you can just slide them up on top of your head like you would sun glasses, but the back and forth is annoying. The FPV camera is not on a gimbal like the other DJI platforms. This makes the flight experience through the goggles more realistic. When you bank the vehicle, the camera tilts with the vehicle and the image/video you are capturing reflect that. The downside is the image in the goggles is not stabilized and is pretty rough. Through the goggles there's no smooth stabile imaging. Video captured by the vehicle is digitally stabilized via onboard software, so when you pull video off the vehicle SD card, it's beautifully stabilized - but not in the goggles or on any recording from the goggles (you can record from both the vehicle and the goggles feed). Other considerations: This vehicle is a high-end toy first and foremost. It certainly has a wide range of professional applications but in my limited experience and opinion (I've only been flying various UAV's for 7 years or so - mostly hobby stuff, and also some work-related videography and photography) most of those professional applications would be much better served by one of DJI's other options at the same price point. If you want to get into drone racing, this is a good platform. It's wicked fast - up to 60 mph in sport mode - and admittedly it is pretty sweet to do some high speed, low-level maneuvers and experience it in the goggles. So if that is what you are after, maybe this is exactly the right one for your. However, one of the Mavics or even the mini offer a really great package of intelligent flight options that the FPV does not: the ability to single out an object, person, animal, etc. and have the drone automatically follow it so you can focus on capturing the shots you want. There's a function that allows you to set specific target and have the drone circle it at a given range with the camera locked on the target point. You can easily program a flight plan with waypoints, elevations, etc. for the vehicle to autonomously follow. I would highly recommend going with one of their other platforms if you want an all-around drone that is packed with cool tech and features. If you ware looking for more of a racing drone, the FPV is a solid choice for a beginner.

Q: QuestionDo the goggles allow users that wear glasses?
Asked by AlanH.
- A:Answer I wear glasses with a pretty strong progressive prescription. I was also worried about this issue before I purchased the FPV. I am happy to report that the goggles seem very nicely designed, and I can see the whole display with no problem at all.

Q: QuestionDo you need a ham radio license to operate this drone
Asked by Gary.
- A:Answer No. You do need to register with the FAA, which is $5 and very easy. You meed to have your FAA number displayed on the drone and follow all FAA regulations on drones. It sounds like a lot, but its all very easy.
