I had to wait quite some time for this drone, but the wait was worth it. The drone is light and very responsive and being under 250g is a plus since there’s less restrictions at this weight range. The great thing is how DJI was able to add all these features in such a small drone and being able to finally record at 4k60 in a mini series drone is awesome. One feature that attracted me to this drone was the obstacle avoidance. Something the Mini 2 was missing. Being able to fly carefree knowing that I have an extra level of protection is a great feeling. While the drone doesn't give a full 360 degree protection since it doesn't have side sensors. The front, back and bottom sensors are plenty. Something else that adding these sensors brought is FocusTrack and additional Quickshots. Dragging a box over yourself or an object allows the drone to track you or that object utilizing the sensors to make sure it protects itself while keeping you in frame. Also, it creates great videos with MasterShots which keep whatever is selected in the center and does preset movements which create a short cinematic video. The camera ability to turn to 90 degrees to allow portrait mode. Also, allowing it to pitch upwards angle of 60 degrees. Now the portrait mode is a good reminder of the Mavic Pro. Seeing the same feature on Mini 3 is great also a smart addition seeing how we're in a time where portrait shots and videos are getting more and more common. Just with a click of a button the camera will rotate sideways and allow portrait mode. Giving the full great resolution the drone has to offer. Without the need to cropping photos or videos like in the past with drones without this feature. It gives more unique photos at different views and a chance for drone pilots to express their creativity in a different way. The same can also be said about the allowing a 60 degrees upwards rotating angle. I didn't know how great this feature was until I filmed some great low shots and being able to rotate upwards and seeing all of a tall structure. DJI is really pushing these features giving many different options on how to film and present videos and photos. The controller with the screen is a must for me. Being able to pull out the drone and the controller then just click two buttons. (One on the drone and one on the controller) and you're for takeoff. Compared to the regular N1 controller which uses a mobile device. You would have to unwrap the cord, plug it in to the phone, pull and set the phone in the controller stand, switch to the app and then you'll be able to start it up. The RC controller with the screen has a nit brightness of 700 which is very bright. I didn't even have it on full brightness for the first few days I was using it and had no problem seeing the display. Another great thing about the controller with the screen compared to the regular one is most phones decrease the brightness once it heats up which usually will happen when you're outside with in the sun making visible tough and straining on the eyes. While with this controller the brightness is set by you and will not change at all. Giving you the full bright display the whole time. Overall, this a great drone and I'm certain that those that choose to purchase it will be satisfied. Now there is an issue that I want to bring up about the drone and that's the range. My first range test I was able to fly 6000M which is great, and I had no issues and if I had remembered to fully charge the battery, I'd been able to go further. Another test in a different area only allowed me to go about 1100M before signal issues occurred. So, I'd say this is an issue depending on the area you're in. DJI been releasing updates frequently so hopefully the issue will be fix and we'll be able to have more consistent far range flights. As I said before this is a great drone. If you are a beginner, it's great for you as well for those that are more experienced. The video is smooth and crisp and I'm sure you'll enjoy the drone as much as I have and will in the future.

A very capable, light, compact and quiet drone. Good for someone's first drone, good for someone who needs a budget friendly, very compact and capable all around drone or good for someone who is specifically looking for a smaller or quieter drone such as myself. I already own a Mavic 3 Classic, but the M3C is loud due to the larger more powerful motors and larger props, and I wanted something that I could use to get shots that I need in more populated/busy areas or at lower altitudes with people around without everybody in the shot looking up into the sky and searching around to see if they can see the drone. Not really great if you are trying to get a natural video of an area where people happen to be, such as a popular tourist attraction or various events and gatherings..... The camera on this drone is really good for the size. In such a small compact camera they managed to squeeze out 4K at 60FPS and have it look very very good, with great colors right from the camera without having to shoot in RAW format and play with the colors, shadows and highlights in post. Most people using this drone will be more than satisfied even just using it in it's "auto" mode. I really like the fact that with this gimbal design, the camera is able to aim upward at quiet a steep angle, allowing you to get very unique shots of subjects or shots of the underside of something like a bridge. Also it has a vertical/portrait mode where you can get portrait (taller rather than wider) shots without it cropping the image and losing resolution, as the entire camera turns sideways in the gimbal. Very nice for getting up close to tall subjects, and using the previously mentioned ability to aim the camera farther upward, to get very unique and amazing shots. The drone is very capable in the air, even though it weighs less than 250 grams. There is no issue flying this drone in moderate winds of 10-15 MPH and even with gusts, the drone and gimbal do a great job at keeping the shot stable. I personally flew this drone while there were close to 20 MPH winds out and gusts that were much worse, and I didn't have any problem at lower altitude. At higher altitude you might get a "strong wind advisory", letting you know that you might not be able to return home due to wind, but all you need to do in this circumstance is drop you altitude and pay attention to your forward speed to make sure you're making progress... There are actually videos of this drone being able to hover in place in 35 MPH winds on mountain sides.. Flight time for this drone, depending on the wind can be around 40-45 minutes.. I haven't personally timed any of my flights, but coming from my previous drones such as the Mavic 2 Pro, Air 2S, Mini and Mini 2, the battery life of this drone with the new battery technology is amazing and you get crazy long flight times. The controller that comes with the Mini 3 Pro is very nice with the built in touch screen. The screen is more than bright enough to view in direct sunlight. It features customizable buttons that you can set to perform various tasks such as re-centering the gimbal or setting the hyperlapse cruise control speed. This drone and controller have very good reception as well, allowing you to fly quiet a ways away.. Obviously it won't be right up at the quoted spec depending on your area because of interference from things like trees, buildings, power lines and whatnot, but it's more than enough to fly off t least 1/2 mile, to a mile or two away in order to get the shot you want if you can't just travel there to launch. For example, if you want to fly over water to another coast line, or follow a roadway or railroad track to get long lasting shot along side of the object, Simply put, if you are either looking for your first drone, or you want a very very capable drone that isn't going to break the bank, and will also be a lot quieter than the other drones, go with this drone.

When I first opened the box I was a little concerned about my purchase. I had doubt that it was worth the price paid. After the first 10 or so flights, my concern and doubt diminished. Everything about this drone is amazing, from the picture quality to the various options of camera and flight modes is incredible. Also, the flight time of 30+ minutes and obstacle avoidance function is totally accurate. What surprised me the most is how easy it is to operate. I would say that the only specification that is not accurate is the distance the drone can reach and still have a good connection to the RC, I‘m sure it could reach 10 KM’s in a perfect scenario, however that doesn’t happen often in real life. With all considerations this drone deserves 5 stars hands down, and is worth every penny.

Customers frequently mention the excellent camera quality and ease of use of the Mini 3 Pro Drone. Many appreciate its compact size and convenient built-in screen remote control. While some users note limitations in strong winds and a higher price point, the positive feedback on image quality and user-friendliness is prominent. The impressive battery life and effective obstacle avoidance features are also frequently highlighted.
