HD Blue Ray - Dr. Who is Awesome!
||Posted .At $70 plus it's is a little more than most people would pay. But, when on sale, it is to good to pass up. I really like Dr. Who and the Blue Ray is Awesome even when played on my computer. Matt Smith and Karen Gillan (Amy) are among my favorite Dr. Who actors.

Great episode arc
||Posted .This series begins, in my opinion, the best episode arc of the whole show. We meet some brilliant historical figures, touch on some fascinating historical stuff, and plunge into the mystery that is River Song. Excellent!

Great addition in the series long running history
||Posted .Doctor Who series 5, the introduction of new doctor Matt Smith, is a fantastic addition to the already stellar series. New show runner Steven Moffat (who has undoubtably written some of the best episodes since the shows reintroduction in 2005) really has a grasp on how to balance the necessary wittiness and heartache that have become a staple of the show. I was initially afraid that Matt Smith would not be able to step out of the large shadow cast by previous doctor David Tennant, but his quirkiness and lightheartedness quickly made him a fan favorite and put all fears at ease. This season is also a great season to introduce someone who is not familiar with the series to, as the production values are a bit higher.

DW 5 part 2
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. So many enemies gather for the doctor in this set. Hard to decide part 1 or part 2 of this season. So glad I had, then wanted Matt smith collection and received digitally. Definitely prefer collection on digital. Stories and acting top notch. Gotta get them all. Part 1 became unavailable as did the collection from Best Buy.

First entry into Dr Who and Pleasantly Surprised
||Posted .This is my first foray into the Dr Who series and I have to admit I immediately fell in love with it. Such a great series! On the surface, my initial reaction was that it felt rather low budget but you get going, somewhere along the line, it captures you and you find yourself hooked. That's what happened to me at least. I literally couldn't stop watching it. The story is excellent and there are plenty of tender and heartfelt moments yet at the same time captures a strong sense of adventure and mystery. I cannot recommend this series enough. I'm only through my season but it's become one of my all-time favorite TV s hows.

Matt Smith Makes An Entrance
||Posted .Out with David Tennant in with Matt Smith. I was skeptical about the 11th Doctor after the 9th and 10th put on such a show. It took a few episodes for me to enjoy this. My eyes were fixed on the performance of Karen Gillan who played Amy Pond who gave her character a sass and attitude not seen since companion Sarah Jane. Some of the writing is lackluster and boring and at other times it can be exciting. Matt Smith's Doctor is a little childish and quirky so if you are into a more serious Doctor this might not appeal to you. What he lacks in that department he makes up for in sincerity and heart. The best of Matt Smith until the end of Series 7. If you keep watching Smith makes one of the greatest exits as a Doctor ever.

Doctor Who the Complete Fifth Series
||Posted .The new Doctor Who makes quite an entrance as he goes through a regeneration that reigns havoc on the TARDIS and eventually crashes in the backyard of a young Amy Pond. The Doctor, played by Matt Smith the youngest actor yet to play the Doctor, arrives on the scene starving and frantically searches through Amy's kitchen for his favorite food. Hold onto your Fez because this Doctor has quite an adventure in store for us all.
