Domke makes some fantastic bags, I've used them throughout my younger years as a photographer while in school but hadn't bought a new one in a long time. I recently entered the mirrorless world (Sony a6000) and picked up this bag based mainly on its size and the name and overall, I haven't been disappointed at all, except for the strap. The bag itself is perfectly made, as one would expect from Domke. The pockets close securely but are easy to open (even by feel alone), the internal dividers don't shift around and have a nice balance between sturdiness and flexibility. It isn't as large a bag as the pictures might imply, but it easily holds my camera body, a few lenses, a flash, my day planner, cleaning kits, cables and chargers and a few other odds and ends. Even packed full the bag rides easily when worn. It doesn't shout 'Camera bag, steal me!' when traveling and when you're moving around and looking at other things it's easily shifted to your bag and doesn't dangle in the way. Really, my only complaint is that the leather strap just feels 'cheap'. It's not finished, it's not stitched or finished on both sides, only the top is actually finished smooth. There doesn't seem to be anything really WRONG with it, but compared to the quality of the rest of the bag it really seems to stand out. Other than that, a great example of Domke design and quality.

I've used a Domke F2 for many years, but it's just too bulky. The F-803 is a nice bag, but a little expensive. So, when I saw this collaboration Domke/Best Buy bag for a very reasonable price, I bought it. I was amused that both the photographs of the bag in use on the Best Buy page were of women, holding it like a stylish large purse. Perhaps that's the market they were looking for, I don't know. The bag itself is definitely Domke, with only the single lens padded insert. By moving it slightly off center, though, I was able to fit a Pentax 70-200 into the insert, an 18-55 kit lens to the left of the insert, and the camera with a Pentax-F 35-70 attached on the right. The material is tough, and looks like it will last a long time. The only possible negative I have is about the strap, which, for this model only, Domke inexplicably replaced their normal strap with a very soft and supple solid leather strap. But I didn't really like the look of the bag with the strap, it actually did look slightly less masculine with it. So, I found the Domke 1.5" replacement strap (the Domke 745-1TN 1.5-Inch strap, with the attached clips), and replaced the leather strap, and now it really does look like a Domke bag. The leather strap also had some stretch to it, and, while it was *probably* just fine, it didn't inspire confidence like the replacement canvas gripper strap. Overall, a very nice bag.

This bag is great. It is large enough to hold my sony a6000 with the kit lens in the divider, and enough space to fit my girlfriends canon t5i in the open compartment alongside it with her kit lens attached too. The bag comes with one divider that is large enough to fit the a6000 with the kit lens snugly, but the rest of the compartment is open (thats where i stuff the t5i). Although the divider is already padded, the rest of the bag is also slightly padded so if you wish to, you can just stuff or stack ur lens into the divider and put ur camera in the open space and still be moderately protected. The strong point of this bag is the fact it doesn't scream camera bag, and its hook clasp is easy to open, althougj you will most likely require two hands to open. Below the flap, you have two velcro enclosed pockets laege enough to fit all your chargers and cables. Compared to other 803 bags by domke, this green bag is a special collaberation model with best buy, and the strap os very different. The strap is made out of a long leather strip, unfinished on one side to provide grip, and smooth on the outside surface. It isnt finished in wax so it doesnt have water resistant properties, so ull have to add your own if you want that. It gives it a real vintage weathered look, and I prefer this bag to the larger timbuk2 snoop which is too large for my needs.
