It takes way too long to charge the battery in camera, therefore this is the best solution. It does not come with a charger! I use a USB3 laptop charger that works well. But they also have a USB3 Supercharger available.

All my Go Pro's have at least one of these chargers. It's a must have. Who wants to be without a camera because they have to use the camera to charge the batteries?

I utterly cannot tell if there is any way to get it to charge batteries faster than when in-camera -- nothing I have ever tried has suggested that anything will charge GoPro batteries anything resembling noticeably faster than any other means. Still, since it does take a frustratingly long time to charge a GoPro battery, I have found the best thing to do is to have one of these, keep a couple of batteries charged, and have this available to charge the spent batteries when they need charging. I routinely use this, powered with a power bank, in the trunk of my car when I'm recording anything longer than an hour or so.

Q: QuestionThis is USB only, which is really inconvenient for me. How do you plug it into the wall and charge with a regular plug??? I'm only seeing the GoPro SUpercharger which is on clearance and I used to use it with my Hero 5???

- A:Answer I have the Super Charger for each of my Hero 5, Hero 8 and Hero 9. If it's still on clearance, I'd pick another one up. The camera itself does not come with a charger in the package. I would not use a regular phone charger, unless you check to see if the charging power is comparable.
