A Best Buy at Best Buy
Posted .I just purchased and installed this TV in my Bedroom. I upgraded from a regular flat screen with an original format screen. The installation was going great until I encountered a couple hick-ups, but nothing to complicated. I don't know if I did it or the TV comes preloaded this way, but the MUTE was on. Also had to figure out that the channel setup just needed me to switch the input on the TV for HDMI. The picture is great! It is so lite it was easy to hold it up to get it mounted on the wall. I also loved the fact that it has an audio jack output. I used it to split it to an RCA and plug it into the surround sound. Very Happy about that. I don't have to worry about the stock speakers. For the money, I think you are definitely getting a great bargain right now at 189.99. Can't say how it is going to hold up yet, but the guy at Best Buy said this is a good brand so far, but he was a sales guy??? I have satellite and the controller set up on the first code...love it.
I would recommend this to a friendRating 4 out of 5 stars with 1 review
Overall good choice for Kitchen TV
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOverall good TV for the Kitchen/Bedroom. Picture quality a little tough to get right, sound is a little tinny. Some trouble programming a Comcast remote. Initial set up very easy. Full manual not included just quick set up guide. Must go to web site for full guide. Overall GREAT choice for a seconday TV. Price is very good considering full 1080P

Excellent picture
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI got this tv because i was looking for a good deal on a smaller led 1080p tv or monitor. I saw this in the weekly mail ad and went in to a store and messed around with it for about 20 minutes before taking it home and haven't regretted it. I have it hooked up to my laptop via HDMI cable because i run my DVR from windows media center 7. At first when i plugged it into the laptop, the computer display would not fill up the tv screen completely and it took me about an hour to figure out how to change the horizontal and vertical scaling settings from the Intel HD graphics software on my laptop. Since i have figured that out, its been great. I also use this tv with my PS3 and have watched several of my Blu Rays (apocalypto and Raging Bull, fight club) and played some games as well and they all look AWESOME. I have read some reviews on this tv complaining about blurry picture which i never had any problem with at all. The picture has excellent contrast and color, and is very vibrant and sharp.Theres also many adjustable picture settings which come in very useful especially if your like me and love to tweak everything you can. Adjustable settings include color temp (warm, cool, normal), toggle on/off dynamic contrast (which causes the screen to darken during low-light scenes and it is not at all necessary or enjoyable), adjustable backlight dimming, as well as standard controls that are on most tvs/monitors (brightness, sharpness, contrast, etc.) The sounds isn't great but i don't use the speakers, there is a headphone jack aswell. The only negative aspects I can think of would be the remote which is small, cheap, and hard to get the buttons to work, and that there's only 1 HDMI input. Also the user interface buttons on the front panel of the tv are touch-sensitive instead of push-button which can be annoying at times. All in all this tv met my expectations, it delivers a clear and vibrant picture for my Bu Ray movies and games and inexpensive.

Perfect TV for a bedroom or small space.
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI snagged this TV on Black Friday when it was on sale. Got it at a great price. I needed a small flat screen for the bedroom and this TV fit the bill just fine. I love the Ultra Thin Design. The Picture Quality is good. It was easy to set-up. However, the Sound is just OK! Not Great. (Once connected to my stereo it sounds good.) Also if you need multiple HDMI connections this TV is not for you. (It only has one HDMI input) Overall I like it. I would recommend for anyone needing a small TV for a bedroom.

Good Gaming and Movie TV for the Price
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFor a 1080i 60hz LED TV this set holds it's own among similarly priced units like Vizio and some low end Samsung and Toshibas. The upsides on this TV are it's usability for Gaming or watching Blu Ray movies. I found that using my PS3 for both games and Blu-Ray that it was on par visually to our primary 46" Samsung LED 1080i 120hz set that cost 1600 dollars. This Dynex: 200 bucks. From any reasonable angle the picture on this TV is not compromised compared to watching it 'head on' at eye level. It's size at 24" is also a good compromise between a 22 and 26 when you're trying to fit it into smaller rooms. The Remote on this TV while feeling a little chinsey is no better than other low cost sets out there and picks up at almost any angle. However, the built in sound on flat panels again is the pitfall for this unit. It's sound is no better than the Samsung's built in speakers (tinny laptop like at best) and could use a supplemental sound system with a woofer. But after a while it can be gotten used to if you aren't picky. Another problem is the Standard Def resolution. I'm not the best at resetting the picture for HD flatpanels but this one WILL benefit from a professional setting up the picture for you. If you choose not to setting up the picture and audio is fairly straightforward on the menu. If you aren't picky, it's a good set for what it is. It's night and day between SD and HD channels right out of the box, which was quite shocking. However, for it's shortcomings it's still a very good TV for it's price and as a Best Buy house brand. Best uses: Gaming TV, Movie TV, Dorm TV, Bedroom TV, Secondary TV, etc.

Dynex 24" LED TV
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a decent TV for the price. It's a little hard to see when viewed from a lower angle, it gets a little dark. The sound is good as well when you turn it up, however anything lower than a volume setting of 10 down to 2 doesn't sound like it makes much of a change. Then there is a big change between a volume setting of 1 to 2. Besides for that, like I said, a decent TV for the price. If you're looking for great features and higher quality overall, you should probably look elsewhere.

Fine choice for a smaller TV
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendA great deal on Black Friday for $189, what with LED and 1080p. Thanks to the LED technology, this unit is thinner and lighter and has better picture quality than a standard set. To me, the picture quality looks comparable to the name brand LED sets. The somewhat unusual 24" screen size turns out to be just right for me. However, it comes with the smallest and crappiest TV remote I've ever seen.

decent picture, great price, lousy sound quality
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendi read all the reviews on this tv... good and bad. i should've taken the advice when i read that the sound quality was poor. it's a sleek looking tv, adequately featured, above average picture quality, but the sound was an epic fail. sounds muffled, as if the tv was playing sound from inside of a box. there are five different sound settings to select from, but they all sound the same. we use ours in the bedroom, where sound at a low setting is most pleasing, but we could not locate a good range to play it in. when it was at 1, it was too low... when it was at 2, it was too high. at times, the vocals were too low but when music came through, it got way too loud. perhaps it was just my unit, but, when you have over a dozen ppl making the same complaint... at any rate, my advice, stay away from dynex in general. there's a reason they are priced so low. my second advice, never settle! make sure what you pay for is what you want.
Q: QuestionPicture is fine but no AudioI just bought the tv got it out of the box and picture seems to be working on cable but there is no sound at all. Already tried switching among Mono, Stereo, SAP but it does not work. And yes, of course it is not on mute. I tried then with headphones using the 3.5mm output port and that works fine. This makes me think the problem could be related to the speakers.

Q: QuestionI connected this TV to my HD cable box and it only shows 720P. How do I get the TV/cable box to display 1080P? Thanks
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Check your cable box menu settings or call your cable provider. I have Time Warner and I had to configure the settings on the cable box to allow 1080 resolution. Some HD channels and programming, however, are broadcast in 720, regardless of your setting.

Q: QuestionHow do I connect a DVD player? The manual I have (and the one online) only gives instructions for connecting a VCR. Is this the same as with a DVD player? Is the AV cable the one with the red white and yellow connections? I have my TV and SAT box connected with a component cable as the Dynex TV I have does not have a yellow connection. Assuming the AV cable is the red white and yellow one do I disconnect the component cable and then connect using the AV cable to connect the DVD player> This means I would be putting the yellow connection into the green slot in back of the TV as per instructions in the manual, is this correct? Thank you
Asked by lola521.
- A:Answer Connecting your DVD player by composite cable will follow the same procedure as connecting a VCR. Using the port grouping on the TV labeled "COMPONENT/AV IN," the red and white connectors should be connected to the ports labeled "L" and "R" and the yellow connector should be connected to the port labeled "Y/VIDEO."
