The headset does not cancel background noises. It actually picks up the least of sounds. I work in the back of my home, and my husband was in the living room having a conversation and the others in my training were able to hear the conversation through a closed door. My children whispered at the door something to me, and the sound was able to be heard. Bottom line is if you need a actual noise cancelling headset then it would be better to invest in one that is a few bucks more. If you have a silent background then this would be perfect. My children were able to take the cushion off it, but the cushion is not able to be put back on easily without breaking it.

This is a great product for what I needed it for. I needed a headset for online coursework in my masters degree program. This was an affordable and easily to use product. If you are going to use the product for longer than 1.5-2 hours at time, I would opt for a more expensive model but if all you need it for is an two hour class every other week it is perfect. Sound quality is good. Microphone works great as well. It is easy to hear and be understood

This item was purchased for my daughter and some school work. After a challenging setup with Wix XP (no surprise), we were able to use this headset and it worked well. Not fantastic; but I didn't pay for a fantastic device - I wanted something basic to use for Rosetta Stone.

I could not pass up this sale price and how well it works. It is straight forward and is a awesome deal. If you need a good USB headset, then this is the one for you. I wish the mute switch was a little easier to use, but that is minor compared to the quality.

The plastic piece that rests on your head could be padded a bit better. Other than that it is a great low cost headset. It would be hard (impossible) to find something better for the money.

only making a review for points this is a basic headset that does what it is needed for!! its not the best but its not the worst!! its very functional and serves its purpose!!

Basic need for a headset with a microphone was the requirement, and this was suitable. For my need I wanted a little longer USB cord but was able to move the laptop and make it work. Good price for a low usage device.
