You get a bit more than you pay for
||Posted .Used the mic to import directly into audacity for assignments associated with my Audio/Video class. Although it's definitely right on the money for a student budget, expect to get student quality sounds from this mic. The company adverts the mic as one to be used on Skype or for online communications and I'd listen to what they are saying. For professional grade recordings or online communications where clarity is key, steer elsewhere, but for beginners that are familiarizing themselves with audio software and tech, this little Dynex will do you just fine. Learn on this, then pass it forward when you're ready to upgrade.

simple but effective
||Posted .I purchased this for use with Dragon naturally speaking. It functions fairly well, there is a volume control at the base which seems to help with dictation. The base is not very heavy, but it is strong enough to hold the microphone upright, . It is not built to last the test of time, it is a lightweight, adequately built microphone. The only irritation I have found is the power light that is to the USB port flashes constantly for no reason. It is there to indicate that it has power, but it is not a solid light. I have seen it be solid but for the most part it just sits there and flashes.

Excellent USB Microphone for home use
||Posted .Bought this for my son to use for practice in high school bands and for his German IV class. Very simple plug and play, sound quality is much better than the build in microphones in our laptops.

Perfect Skype mic
||Posted .I had been looking for a fairly inexpensive mic for my desktop to use via Skype and for simple recording. I found one and was off to Best Buy to pick it up. But they were out of stock and I happened to see the Dynex, one of the only USB mics available. I bought it on a whim and discovered that it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Great sound, easy to locate on my desk, and flawless to set up. Can't think of a thing I would change.

Good for the price
Posted .dont listen to that other guy who rated this mic 1 star, those are the kind of people who walk onto mercedes benz car lot who want to pay the price of a volkswagen and expect to drive away with a benz. this mic is great for talking and gets the job done well...what can u expect for 14 bucks. if u want a really good mic with great sound qualities then u should buy one that over 100 dollars. but if u want a mic for skype and vent then this is the mic for u.

Very good voice pick up and audio quality.
||Posted .This product was a very reasonable price to replace my defunct internal mike on my laptop. I really liked the design. Modernistic. It stores easily in my laptop case. The sound pickup is excellent. And so is the audio quality. I liked the long cable for ease and choice of location. Not any problems. Highly recommend the product.

Q: QuestionInstallI bought this USB microphone for my fiance who lives abroad. I gave her my old Dell computer, and the microphone, must be going out.I can't hear my fiance, but she can hear me.I bought this at Best Buy, and the sales lady told me if that is the case; more likely the audio is going out (not the driver) she said. So according what she described, I guess she can just plug into her computer, and it automatically takes over, make it like a default, is this correct?
