I had been looking for a fairly inexpensive mic for my desktop to use via Skype and for simple recording. I found one and was off to Best Buy to pick it up. But they were out of stock and I happened to see the Dynex, one of the only USB mics available. I bought it on a whim and discovered that it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Great sound, easy to locate on my desk, and flawless to set up. Can't think of a thing I would change.

My laptop has an integrated microphone which is functional, but there's an issue where when my cooling fan kicks in, it can be heard through the integrated mic. I bought the Dynex microphone to combat this issue. This mic has good sound quality, and is sensitive enough that I don't have to have my mouth within inches of it for me to be heard. It works fine with skype and yahoo, and the cord is plenty long enough. It's also plug and play, so there's no installation to deal with.
