This little vacuum is amazing!
Posted .I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. This little vacuum is amazing. I was shocked when I took it out of the box to see how small it was but was ecstatic to see how well it cleaned my home. I’m 30 weeks pregnant and I don’t look forward to vacuuming in the traditional way - but this little guy does the work for me. What I love about this vacuum: It does all the work. Seriously, you just push a button and it will clean your entire room and in some modes, it will go back to recharge when it needs to. This is awesome. The only thing you ever have to do is clean it’s dust cup (and periodically the filters). It features a 360 eye. This vacuum has a small camera on top of it that helps it understand the layout of the room, including where furniture is. It actually makes a copy of the floorplan of what it has cleaned and sends it to your phone app. This way even if you are not home, you can see what exactly it cleaned. It won’t fall down the stairs. We tested this out when it cleaned our upstairs loft. It has special sensors that allow it to detect depth and it will not accidently fall. I’m thankful for that because are steps are hardwood and that would have been a bad fall. It includes a free app for your phone. This is outstanding. The directions are simple to set it up. I am not that tech savvy and I found it extremely easy. Once set up you can program the robot for cleanings, you can check on what it has cleaned, you can even see if there is a problem through their alerts. This leaves the guess work out of what is going on with our robot. An added feature? You can name your little robot and the app will refer to them by name! I, personally, thought that was fun. It contains a lot of suction. This is a strong, powerful, vacuum just like other Dysons which I have used. You would not believe all the grit and dust it got off my floor and placed safely in its dust cup. It works on both carpet and hard floors. We have used this in our foyer (hardwood), the master bath (ceramic flooring), and the bedrooms which are carpeted. We have also used this in the dining room (thin carpet) and all of these places it worked extremely well to clean and pick up even specks of dust. The only rug in our house it didn’t work well on was our shaggy carpet in the living room. To be fair, I can’t use any vacuum with a rotating brush on this carpet because it has too much pile. The dust cup holds a good amount. For being such a small vacuum, it holds a lot of dust. The container, which is easy to empty, needed to be emptied after it cleaned our large master bedroom (which hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, so I expected that). It can clean a few smaller bedrooms without having to be cleaned. It is so easy to charge. I mentioned above that it can charge itself. If you are cleaning a room that is far from it’s base (or on a different floor of your house) then you will have to manually place it back either when it is out of power or when it is done cleaning. There is no guesswork to how to charge this thing. It is so simple - it just sits next to it’s charging station which is plugged into a wall outlet. I was happy to see how easy this is. Grid pattern of cleaning: My husband I both liked that it cleans in a grid pattern. Because it has an “eye” it can see where it has been and where it needs to clean and it does so in straight lines. This gives a very clean look to the room once it is finished. This machine has gotten my family excited about cleaning! Not only has it helped me out tremendously as I await the due date of this baby...but my older kids are now racing to clean their rooms to see the little robot clean their floors. I kid you not. They all love it.

Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
Posted .I received this product free in exchange for my honest opinion. This is the first robot vac that I have ever used. I have always been very hesitant to purchase one because I was afraid that they would not work as well as my Dyson vacuum (which I adore). I am super impressed with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum. My first impressions came from the design. I loved how modern and stylish it looked. The nickel and blue just look perfect and exactly what I would expect from Dyson when it comes to style. After I had looked at the design, I started to unbox everything. Included with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum is also a charging station which has a very slim design. The instructions included in the box could not be clearer. Everything was so easy to set up and use. You can control your new 360 Eye Robot Vacuum with the app, but you don't have to use this feature. For me, I just push the button and let this baby go to work. I did check out the vac just for review purposes, and it works well. I had no problems using my iPhone 6s Plus with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum. When it comes to the suction power, it is everything you can image with the larger Dyson Vacuums. I was very surprised that it picked up as much as it did. It goes through each room making a "pattern" and getting every little corner. Another thing that I was worried about is the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum bumping into things. I have a ton of breakable cabinets and not once did it it anything. BONUS!! I could not be happier with this product. If you love to take a break and let something else do the work for you, this is perfect. The 360 Eye Robot Vacuum is not only stylish but functions perfectly. It also is funny watching my dog with the 360 Eye Robot Vacuum. I thought it would scare him, but he is just so fascinated. He follows it around like they are buddies.

I can finally kick my feet up and relax!
Posted .I received my Dyson 360 Eye for free in return for this review.- First of all, I have never owned a robot vacuum before. When I opened this, I was not intimidated at all. It came perfectly packaged and the process to set it up was easy. I love the fact that it comes with a charging dock. The instructions were clear and I did not have to second guess anything. I also love that it comes assembled. We docked it and charged it, I set it up on my phone as well (that is not a requirement fiy, so if you dont have a smart phone, dont worry). After we set it up, I got it going in my kitchen. I was so impressed at how it does a pattern to clean! It gets every area of the room completely! The suction- the suction is something else. It picked up so much dirt and the best thing is that I could sit on the couch while it did my work for me!!! I love how it "scopes" out the room before hand. It also doesn't just "bump" into things. It picked up so much that I was disgusted I had that much in my floor. I am happy that I can relax and have a helper do work for me if you will. Overall, I highly recommend this product and it is a must have in any home! I can't wait to use it more! The overall design of the product is neat. You can definitely tell it is a Dyson by looking at it. I love the color and how sleek it looks. It is a conversation piece for sure. As a mom on the go, I am thrilled that this is one less chore that I have to worry about.

Busy Family Life Helper
Posted .I am loving this Dyson 360 eye. We have a full lower level floor of hardwood, and with two busy girls our floors are constantly showing dirt and debris. Working full time means that when I have free time the last thing I want to do is grab our vacuum or broom and sweep the floors everyday. That is why I am in love with this Dyson robotic vacuum. I was given this unit to test and facilitate my leaving a review, all thoughts and experiences are my own. I do a quick scan for cords and toys, then start up the 360 eye vacuum. The vacuum runs around in a seemingly unorganized way, picking up all the dirt and crumbs that have found their way onto the hardwood. We have a fairly large lower level, and I do find that one charge is not enough to complete the whole level. The Dyson will return to it's start position when it runs our of battery power to recharge. And, with the app installed on my smartphone I'm able to be alerted when there's an issue with the Dyson. PROS: - saves me tons of time by doing a sweep of our busy rooms that pick up lots of debris. - the smartphone app can help you see where the vacuum has been, and you can schedule it to run on a schedule. - does a great job of picking up debris and can handle going from hardwood onto rugs well. CONS: - the canister is a bit small, so I find I need to empty it a few times while running. - wish the battery life was a bit longer.

Expected more from Dyson
||Posted .I purchased the Dyson thinking it would be the best robot vacuum but I was disappointed. The device requires the spaces it works in to have the light on. Battery dies extremely quickly, 80% of the time it doesn't remember how to get back to the base. 90% it starts cleaning and stops in middle stating error with the track or brush ( when I check, nothing is wrong ) constantly hits counters and metal surfaces. Does not recognize difference between carpet and floor so the suction power has to be changed manually. There is no spot cleaning and the dirt bin is very small. For the price they charge this is really not worth it!

Posted .Hello there,
Thank you for your Dyson 360 Eye Robot review. We’re sorry to hear you have encountered difficulty with the usage of your robot. This sounds most unusual and we’d like to ensure it is performing as designed.
The Dyson 360 Eye features a 360 degree camera system that understands its environment. If it needs to vacuum under a bed or in areas in which light conditions are poor it will increase the exposure on the camera and decrease its speed. To enable the system to work in these locations the infrared headlights provide additional illumination to find features to track.
In addition to this, the machine features up to 75 minutes of continuous usage. However, the runtime is theoretically infinite as it will return to the dock to recharge when needed. It is important to note that you must start the cleaning duties while the machine is on the dock in order for it to return and recharge as needed.
You may also be interested to know that the robot is designed to automatically adjust motor power for optimal efficiency across multiple floor types. The versatility of the machine across multiple floor types is further enhanced by the tank tread system.
You are right to note that this machine is engineered for whole room systematic cleaning. It has not been engineered to clean specific sections of the room. However it can of course be used to clean specific areas – if you place the robot on the required area and press start, it will begin to systematically clean that spot. It should be manually stopped when the required area has been covered.
We’d very much like to learn more about your experience and we’re keen to ensure your machine is performing as it should. Please feel free to email your contact information to AskDysonUS@Dyson.com and we will be in touch to help out.
Best wishes,
Dan

$1,000 toy
||Posted .I would think something this expensive and made by Dyson would work fairly well. After a month, only about 50% of the scheduled times actually kind of worked. It gets lost. Gets stuck. Dies in the middle of the floor. Makes it part way back to the charging dock. I don't think I've gotten one good vacuuming job and I have a fairly small home with tile floors Unless there is some huge software update and/or better phone support, I'll chalk this up to a big mistake

Posted .Hi, this is Aimee with Dyson. I am sorry to hear of your experience with your Dyson 360 Eye as this is not what we would expect. The Dyson Link app allows the scheduling of a single clean or recurrent cleanings with just the flick of a button. The Dyson 360 Eye will also detect when it’s low on battery and then return to the dock to recharge. Once charged, it will continue where it left off covering the entire accessible space.
I understand you may have been in touch with our helpline, however; we would value the opportunity to ensure your robot vacuum is operating properly and learn more about your experience. Our aim is to provide quick and efficient support. We have a dedicated phone line for our connected products with trained experts on staff that are available to assistance at 866-664-8997. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best Wishes,

After a long wait for release in North America...
Posted .Anything Dyson that I've owned has been first class. The product last and are easy to service. I'm an experienced robot vacuum owner. I've currently have Neato D80 doing the upstairs and a Samsung 9050 doing the downstairs. The Samsung drive broke, and went back under warranty. I tried the Dyson after reading the marketing info. Having a large pet, I work the robots hard. Lots of area rugs to cover. The Dyson is significantly smaller than my other robots. The dust bin concerned me because it's tiny. Once I got the app installed on my phone I started the robot. All was OK until it hit the area rugs. It was hopping because the suction was too much for unit. In other words, the space between the brush and the carpet was too close. The unit couldn't maintain distance and started hopping. You've all swept area rugs and heard how the carpet pulls up and too close to the sweeper. Well this unit stumbles and hops. It misses most of the area rug because it's only trying to get through the difficult terrain. The other noticeable issue is that it's too slow. My Samsung is a brute and powers through anything, and does a much better job. Neato? The same thing. Very good on all surfaces. I returned the Dyson and got a replacement Samsung 9050. Who would benefit the most from this Dyson? People with regular carpet, no area rugs, or a hardwood floor with no area rugs. I'm really disappointed after waiting 2 years for this thing. I have faith in Dyson that they will improve it.

Posted .Hello there,
Thanks for taking the time to provide this review and we truly appreciate your continued support of the Dyson brand. It is unfortunate to hear that the performance of your 360 Eye Robot was hindered by your area rugs and the machine may have been returned.
The 360 Eye uses continuous tank treads to smooth over bumps and glide over uneven surfaces – this makes it capable of working across multiple floor types – crossing tatami mats, carpet, rugs and hard floors all in the same cleaning session. This means it won’t veer off on a tangent or operate in wonky cleaning patterns. It is unusual to hear your machine encountered a hopping pattern.
You are right to note that area rugs have the potential to form a seal with a powerful vacuum and hinder movement. However, the 360 Eye features a self-regulating V2 digital motor to optimize efficiency across all floor types. An internal microprocessor makes up to 3,300 adjustments each second to control its speed to monitor and self-adapt to vacuum airflow.
We’d like to hear more about your experience. Please e-mail your contact information to AskDysonUS@Dyson.com and we will be in touch to help.
Best wishes,
Dan

Unfortunately, this thing is terrible.
Posted .I've been waiting for the US release of the 360 Eye since it was revealed in, what, 2014? Aside from generally liking Dyson products, I also hate my Roomba and was excited about the prospect of Dyson stepping in and doing this category the right way. Unfortunately, the only thing it has been able to do successfully is make me appreciate my Roomba 880. Build quality is fantastic and the vacuum itself is best-in-class. Unfortunately, this is all rendered useless by the terrible software. * Initial setup of the wireless network failed multiple times, the unit just hangs. * Software updates failed via the app, I had to download the most recent firmware from the Dyson website and install it via USB. * The vacuum does not respond quickly to commands sent via the app * There is no way to guide the robot from the app * It gets stuck on everything. EVERYTHING. I have a Noguchi Cyclone table, and if I hadn't just dropped a grand on this thing, I'd be amused at how sad the lil robot looks trying to figure out how to get itself off of the shallow base. It's also fun watching it attempt to navigate from underneath a normal, boring chair. Most recently, it took over 5 minutes- which is a bummer given the relatively short battery life. * The battery just dies. The lil feller doesn't even have time to get back to its charging base. * It apparently takes around 3 hours to charge with a 45 minute run time, and having done that multiple times in the 24 hours that I’ve owned it, it has yet to successfully clean a single 400 square foot room. Kills me to say it, but do not buy this thing- yet. It hasn’t been officially available in the US for very long (early August, I believe), so the next update will be the first chance to apply whatever they’ve learned about US homes to their algorithms. Hopefully that gets released before my return window is up, because as it stands, this machine is definitely going back.

Posted .Hello Carl,
Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. This is disappointing to hear that your 360 Eye Robot has not met your needs and may have been returned. In addition to the 2 year warranty received with this machine we also have a team of experts that are dedicated to ensuring your robot is performing as it should. If there is a concern with the connection journey or anything performance related, we’re happy to support you and your machine over our helpline. Our 360 Eye Robot support line can be reached directly by calling 866-664-8997.
It is unusual to hear that the machine seems to be getting stuck frequently. When the environment is prepped for cleaning by removing obstacles, it is able to maintain a consistent cleaning path even when traversing different floor types thanks to the tank treads and suspension system. It is also designed to allow enough time to return to the dock before losing its charge.
We’d very much like to hear more about your experience and ensure your Dyson robot is performing as designed. Please feel free to e-mail your contact information to AskDysonUS@Dyson.com and we’re keen to discuss further with you.
Best wishes,
Dan

Q: QuestionHow quickly does it clean in terms of sq/ft per minute/hour?
Asked by Jordan.
- A:Answer I'm trying one out now, but will probably end up returning it.. To answer your question, I was able to get it to run 1 hour and 39 minutes in quiet mode and it covered 930 sq sf. The last 20 minutes of that run time though was it looking aimlessly for it's docking station!! Very frustrating to watch considering how expensive it is and other robots I own dock effortlessly 95% of the time.
Answered by dbtex
Q: QuestionHow well does this get into corners? I have a botvac connected right now and it's design makes it get into the corners effortlessly - I know the iRobot has brushes to handle this with it's circular design but I do not see anything like that on here.
Asked by Thayios.
- A:Answer Mine doesn't do well in corners. I have to sweep corners first.

Q: QuestionWill the Dyson 360 Eye Robot Vacuum return to its base to re-charge - then once re-charged, will it go back to where it left off to continue vacuuming until the entire one level area is all vacuumed?
Asked by HighHeelsAndPearls.
- A:Answer Hello there, This is Dan with Dyson. You are absolutely correct, if the 360 Eye robot senses it is running low on battery it will return to the dock to recharge before resuming its duties. Best wishes, Dan

Q: QuestionWhat is the warranty on the Dyson 360 Vacuum?
Asked by Warranty.
- A:Answer Hello there, This is Dan with Dyson. The Dyson 360 Eye will come with a 2 year manufacturer warranty. Best wishes, Dan

Q: QuestionDoes it only vacuum (carpet)? What can it do with hardwood?
Asked by Uwe.
- A:Answer I have carpet, hardwood, and tile floors. My Dyson 360 Eye easily transitions between all three during the same vacuuming run and has no problems at all. Does a great job on all three of my surfaces. I've been using it for 6 weeks now and have been very happy with every aspect of it's performance. I've had a Roomba iRobot for more than a year. It's going on Craigslist because the Dyson is that much better.

Q: QuestionHow does it do stairs? Does it vacuum them or can it just avoid them at all costs?? Will it fall down them?
Asked by Jolenemaddy.
- A:Answer Hello there, This is Dan with Dyson. The 360 Eye contains proximity sensors to detect drops and and navigate around them. However, we would not recommend that it be used unattended in any area where it can access a down stairway or balcony. Nor should it be used in high or narrow spaces such as a shelf or stairs. Best wishes, Dan
Answered by DysonProductExpert
Q: QuestionHow do you set it up for two floors in the house? I do not know how loud 74 decibels is. Is that similar to your upright vacuums? Is it too loud to use while sleeping?
Asked by Clay.
- A:Answer Hello Clay, This is Dan with Dyson. The robot can cover an entire level of a home at a time. If it gets low on charge it will return to the dock, recharge and then resume cleaning. It can repeat this as many times as is necessary to clean all accessible areas, provided that the bin is emptied when full. To move to another floor, you may simply move the docking station and the robot to the next floor to start its duties. Regarding the noise output, 74 dBa is less than what our upright models emit. Most Dyson uprights emit 86 dBa. Of course it will vary by personal preference but it may be a bit loud for sleeping conditions. Best wishes, Dan

Q: QuestionWill it fit under cabinets in the kitchen?
Asked by Dee.
- A:Answer No, if you have the standard sized tip kick that most kitchens cabinets have in the US this robot will not fit under them, it is too tall to do so.
