Questions & Answers (15)
  • Q: Will the dyson DC65 scratch my hardwood floors? (9 answers)

A: Absolutely not, the Dyson DC65 has automatic height adjustment for the brush.
  • Q: what is the difference between DC41 and DC65? (3 answers)

A: Hi it's Joe from Dyson, Thank you for your inquiry. The main difference between DC41 and DC65 is that DC65 has 25% more power in the brushbar motor to remove dust and dirt from carpets. The cyclones in DC65 have been re-tuned, meaning that the geometry of the inlets as well as the diameter of the vortex finders have been modified to allow more airflow to pass through them. • Q: What is the difference between the dc50 animal upright and dc50 animal complete? (6 answers)

A: Hi it's Joe from Dyson, The DC50 Animal is our compact upright vacuum. The DC65 series is available in multiple variants, including the Animal and Animal Complete. The difference is in the cyclone color and the included tools. The Animal Complete features the same tools as the animal along with the multi-angle tool, stiff bristle brush, our Zorb carpet maintenance powder and an exclusive tote to store the extra tools. If you have any additional questions, please let us know. Best wishes, Joe Dyson Customer Service
  • Q: HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO PUSH/PULL VAC OVER MEDIUM PILE CARPET (10 answers)

A: Extremely easy. Pullback isn't that bad. Most vacuums make you feel like you're fighting the power head just to get back for your next swipe, this just seems to flow. It will work on hardwood, but Dyson cautions the user in the manual not to leave it in one place to long, or you could damage the floor. There is a button which turns off the brush for hardwood floor, so you're cleaning with suction only. That's how Dyson recommends you clean the hardwood floors with this model.
  • Q: What is the difference between DC65 animal and DC65 animal complete (7 answers)

A: Simply the number of tools/accessories included. You get more with the "complete" version. I have the complete and don't use half the tools. In hindsight I would just purchase the NON-COMPLETE version. It's all marketing.
  • Q: Is this vacum able to reach under sofas and chairs and other low to the floor furniture? Also, can it be used on carpet and wood and tiled floors? (7 answers)

A: Yes, it can reach under these areas with a decent amount of clearance. I can vacuum a few inches under the couch with ease and picks up at the edges as well. It can be used on carpet and hard floors, it automatically adjusts the height of the cleaning brush and there is a simple easy to push button that turns the beater bar on and off.
  • Q: How is it with Wood floors Do any scratch marks occur (8 answers)

A: Hi it's Joe from Dyson Thank you for your interest in our technology. Our machines are safe for use on multiple floor types and the brush bar on the DC65 is designed to be turned off for use on bare floors, delicate rugs and looped carpeting. Of course, we always recommend contacting the manufacturer of your flooring regarding the proper care and maintenance of their product. Best wishes, Joe Dyson Customer Service
