Description
Dyson DC65 Multifloor Bagless Upright Vacuum: This vacuum simplifies household chores, with a pivoting ball design that makes it easy to reach tight corners and a cleanerhead that self-adjusts to adapt to various surface types.
Features
Upright vacuum cleaner for carpets, bare floors and stairs
Take on a variety vacuuming chores and remove deeply imbedded dirt with powerful suction.
Motorized brush bar reaches deep for dirt
Stiff nylon bristles move carpet pile and get at ground-in dirt. The brush bar is more powerful than previous models, but can be turned off to protect delicate rugs and preserve hard floor surfaces.
Strong suction at the cleaner head
Automatically adjusts to different floor types to improve overall suction.
Bagless Radial Root Cyclone technology for increased suction
No more clogged bags or filters. Flow efficiencies reduce turbulence and preserve air pressure while trapping microscopic particles in the inner cyclones.
Easy maneuvering around furniture and baseboards
The pivoting ball makes steering easier. Since more technology resides inside the ball, there's less external machinery to interfere with your turns.
Easy emptying features
Releases dirt and debris into the trash with the press of a button. The clear bin lets you easily see when it needs emptying.
Customers frequently mention the DC65 Multifloor Bagless Upright Vacuum's powerful suction, ease of use, and lightweight design. Many appreciate its ability to effectively clean carpets and remove pet hair. However, some find it to be a bit pricey and heavy, and a few are disappointed that attachments from previous models do not fit.

This is my second Dyson, I bought the first one right after they came out and loved it and still do, it still works. I needed a second one to just keep the old one upstairs so I seen this one on sale and ordered it. The suction is outstanding as I expected but the engineering of it is not so great. I hate how many times I have to push it up to get it to stand up locked in place and the attachments are much harder to pull out and put back in place. Also when emptying the canister it does not empty out as easily and cleanly as my old model, I have to go outside to empty it and never did with my old Dyson. Button to release the attachment should be on the opposite side as well. I just can't imagine how engineering or quality actually used the unit and gave it a thumbs up. I gave it 4 stars due to the suction alone but based on ease of use I would really only give it a 2.

After going through many vacuums over the years, and returning back our previous replacement vacuum (one of the windstorm kind) because it was so cheaply made, we decided to go for a Dyson.
The difference in quality is amazing. It is a solidly built vacuum, suction that rivals my shop vac and it has a very long cord.
When the alternative is a cheaply made piece of junk at over one hundred dollars, this made sense to try. We are very happy with it

Living with 7 pets (3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 ferrets!), we get a lot of pet hair on EVERYTHING. After months of using a Regular People vacuum that takes a ton of effort for "meh" results, I've come to the conclusion that either I should A.) Shave them all bald, or B.) Finally break down and buy a Dyson and see how the Other Half lives.
I find hairless cats creepy, so I chose option B. I ordered online (cringing that I was ACTUALLY spending $500 for a VACUUM) and opted for store pickup the same day. (All was a smooth process). The moment I got home with it I ripped open the box, put that bad boy together, and set to vacuuming my hair besieged couch, It was the high point of my day. And I really mean that!
Seriously, if you hate vacuuming this thing will make you like it. It's so satisfying, watching all that hair being sucked up into the clear, cyclonic canister. So gratifying, in fact, that after finishing the couch I just kept going! Before you could say bibbity boppity boo, I was sucking all the hair off our wood floors (works great there) and as if that wasn't enough, I even used the hose attachment to clean the fans and suck the cobwebs from the upper corners of the house. The place is sparkling, and I look like a hero. (And no more fights about dog hair on the couch! The Dyson is a marriage saver!)
My only complaint and reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is heavier than I would have liked, and also I find that the hose isn't quite long and stretchy enough. As well, although there is a place for the two attachments it comes with, they don't stay on and I have to store them somewhere else. But overall, the good outweighs the bad. The Dyson is definitely a worthy investment if you love pets but hate their hair everywhere!
Bottom line: If you have a spare $500 laying around (or a Best Buy credit card like I do), get a Dyson! They really suck!!

My second Dyson and this one highlights why I needed to upgrade from the DC 24. The suction is 10X better. I'm getting dirt that the smaller model just wasn't capable of getting. It's so powerful it pulls itself across the carpet. I love the bigger dirt cup, the longer cord and the purple and silver color. Give me some useful attachments like a dedicated crevice tool and I'm in heaven.

The DC65 is fabulous. It is lightweight and performs extremely well on all surfaces, turning corners, or straight. easy to empty the dust bin, easy to remove the handheld attachment for non-floor vacuuming. The best performance ever with major suction picking up lots of pet hair. This is a huge timesaver with one pass of the vacuum. Worth the investment!

Lightweight, easy to use, great cleaning power, multiple attachments. It transitions easily between carpet and other types of flooring without losing suction or cleaning power. Easy to get around furniture and easy to clean stairs. As it is lightweight it is very easy to carry upstairs and down to the basement. Love my new Dyson!

I got my Dyson DC65 on clearance for less than $350 at Bestbuy. . For the price and performance i think it is a great deal. I was shocked to see the amount of dirt and fuzz this vacuum picked up just off from my son's area rug alone . I always have a no-shoes policy in my house and I often kept it very clean , it was so shocking to see the dirt filling up the bin just a few push! This DC 65 is so much lighter, make a lot less noisy and I think it picks up at least 5 times more dirt than the Hoover tunnel vacuum I used to own. I don't know why I waited so long to buy it, but I call tell you i am extremely pleased about my purchase.
