Strong enough for work WFH cord-cutters!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I get gigabit home internet from verizon, but the first floor router couldnt reach my basement home office (~1600 sq ft. Home.) My work laptop uses hogh end corporate security features that require a strong internet signal. When I researched this router system with mesh technology, I realized i didnt need wifi 6e because i dont own any 6e devices yet. I put one node next to the router, one in the office and on midway between the two in the kitchen. Now my whole home is covered. The settup was extremely quick and easy, and using the eero app is a joy. It very easily and clearly helps me view different devices on my network, and their speeds and signal strengths. I even got to use my same network name and password, so i didnt have to reset wifi settings on all of my devices. I test the speeds and tend to get around 400 download and 100-200 upload on all of my devices anywhere in the house or yard. And yes, now my signal is strong enough yo use my clunky work laptop to work from home. For ease of settup, ease of use, and quality, I highky recomend this (almost) top of the line Eero Mesh Wifi system.

Simplicity at its best!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup process; Amazon member so not sure how that would effect a non-member during setup. Love the low key design fits in with everything. The App is super intuitive and detailed for the device. You do have to pay for advanced features/settings in the app but what comes with the free portion is more than enough for me and probably most users. only gripe would be the Ethernet port situation. Only has two on the main hub compared to 4+ on some other routers. The modem takes up one port so now you really only have one. Some this might be a concern if you hard wire a lot of things, luckily I use an Ethernet switch anyways that gives me more ports and even more control with port prioritizing etc. so not a big deal in my scenario. I run a pc and ps5 off the hard connection with 800+ download.. zippy!! No problems with dropped connections/signal strength!

Outstanding Router & Customer Service
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely easy to set up with the eero app. Most all the functions I ever need are accessible through the app. Thread Network compatible for IoT compatible. Linking HomeKit to the eero app gives your IoT accessories the security options that were needed but missing. I had a couple issues but were easily resolved by calling their US Customer Support. They rate 10 for 10 on customer support which is huge. The few issues we resolved took a minute but they were always on the phone. This router is a bit $ but worth my money with customer support alone. It’s come down in price and they do have a 2 pack that might serve better. We replaced a Netgear NightHawk router which was also a great router and had ton of functionality once logged in online but a bit above my head. The eero Pro 6 Tri Band Mesh along with the app and customer service gave me everything I needed. My speeds are as solid as the ISP are giving me and there’s no lag in anything I’ve used.

Best all-around, user-friendly consumer-level wifi
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the easiest ans most reliable of the consumer-level WiFi routers to set up. Anyone with a smartphone can do it. Coverage is great (as long as you have realistic expectations), and the app used to manage the device is first rate. It’s very easy to follow. We signed up for the Security add-on, which is an annual subscription. To my surprise, it prevented me from visiting what was apparently a known spammer site. First time I’ve seen that. A pop-up came up and started “Uh-oh, you don’t want to go there. It’s not safe.” (Or something like that.) Highly recommend. If you have a larger home, go for the three-pack of this PRO version. I’ve found the Pro WiFi 6 to be far superior to the previous generation (which is why the previous gen is selling so cheap now.)

Fast and Reliable
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from a Netgear modem and router combo (C7800) to this eero Pro 6 system. I wanted to easier identify where issue I had was. Having modem separate from the router helps. Setup was extremely easy. The app is also easy to use. I do not like the trial for the eero Secure. For how expensive this system was, it should have been included. I do like that you can do speedtest directly with in the mobile app. Coverage is great now at my house, getting full signal everywhere. Granted, I don't live on a huge ranch or anything, but I no longer get disconnects when I'm in the garage or driveway.

Great Mesh Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good upgrade from my old Eero Mesh WIFI system. WIFI 6 compatibility is great, and definitely saw an increase in WIFI speed. I also have a lot of smart home and IoT devices connected, so this upgrade can handle a large amount of devices while maintaining consistent signal strength. Ookla gives my speed at 600 mb download and 50 mb upload on an Optimum 1 gigabit plan. I used to get around 180 mb download and 40 mb upload with my old eero mesh system. This is perfect for my 2 story townhouse (2 eeros downstairs, 1 upstairs). Only part I don't like is that you have to use the application on your phone to configure it ( no web interface). If youre looking for a easy set up router upgrade, this is it!

Well worth the money that I spent!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased two eero pro 6 routers a few weeks ago I currently have AT&T U-verse fiber and I purchased a Netgear Nighthawk about 3 years ago and it was fine until I couldn’t do the updates on my phone and my Apple products stated that the security was weak and the fact that I have ring products Nest Thermostats and Alexa’s in every room and I am adding more smart home items so I decided on the eero pro 6 because of the updated security and that I am able to add up to 75 items which means I have space to add items. This product is so easy to set up all I had to do was plug the Ethernet of the eero pro 6 in the switch that AT&T had placed in my family room download the app setup my new network then all I had to do was decide where I wanted to place the other eero pro 6 I decided the office upstairs just plugged it in and that was it. One thing I love about this product is that it tells me when it is updating security automatically and it tells me when a new device has been added to the network. I live in a 2578 sq foot home and no blind spots so far I get strong signals all through the house. So if you have high speed Internet this would be for you. Prior to purchasing I did my research and because I have fiber this would allow me to get the full potential from my high speed fiber and it does. I love the fact that I can have all my smart home devices and ring doorbell and my Apple products on this network and if I have guest they can either use the AT&T or Netgear network.

Pricy ....but, worth it when you get it on a deal!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase , I am able to get most out of the internet speeds I am paying for . I see download speeds of 900 mbps on my router speed tests even though most of my devices cap at 580 mbps. There are few bugs with smart switches or devices not being able to connect to 2.4Ghz channel , I am pretty sure eero will fix them with firmware updates . I use my secondary Apple router hardwired into eero for my smart devices anyway. For now , I do not have bigger complaints . It’s a little expensive compared to Netgear Orbi for AX4200 rated router. Hence, I would expect a better performance not SAME.

Q: QuestionI currently have a Spectrum modem and router (separate items). I currently receive slow wifi in a 2900 sq. ft. house. Can I connect the eero Pro 6 AX4200 to the Spectrum router or should I connect it directly to the modem and return the router to Spectrum
Asked by EMMANUEL.
- A:Answer I connected my Eero Pro 6 directly to the Spectrum Modem, disconnected the Spectrum Wireless router and put it in the closet (don't lose it cause they'll want it back after the lease)... You will notice better download and upload speeds when you remove Spectrum's OEM Wireless Router. Spectrum will do their best to convince you to keep using their wireless router, but the truth is that when using their Spectrum Wireless Router, they track and monitor the unit (performance and network maintenance). Eero does a better job at security and network management right out of the box.

Q: QuestionYou offer packages of one modem and two extenders versus one of three modems. Why would I want three modems in stead of one modem and two extenders? Is there an advantage to use an additional modem in the system over an extender?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi! These are actually routers, not modems. The modems should be given to you by your internet service provider. Eero pro products used to be sold as a router with extenders. This new eero pro 6 is now sold with no extenders. You can use your eero pro 6 as a router and any additional eero pro 6 you purchase can be used as an extender. Eero pro 6 allow for up to 1 gigabyte per second of download speed. The benefit of using an eero pro 6 as an extender is that it will allow for 1 GB of speed to be extended around the house for an additional 2000 sq ft. If you purchase the eero 6 extender, you will only have up to 500 megabytes per second of download speed with a range of 1,500 sq ft.

Q: QuestionHow many eithernet ports just each unit have?

- A:Answer Each eero Pro 6 has 2 ethernet ports. The one you chose to connect to your modem will have one ethernet port left for use.

Q: QuestionI am upgrading my wifi and want to get Wifi 6 and tri band. I am an idiot when it comes to this, but if I purchase 2 of these and use them as 2 routers and not one as an extender, do I need to hard wire both to my modem? Can I use one hard wired and on
Asked by Thomas.
- A:Answer Yes. Hard wire the first one to the modem. The second one can be placed anywhere and does no need a hard wire to the modem. Download the Eero app on your phone and it will walk you through the install. It's extremely easy and user friendly and will take about 10 minutes. -john

Q: Questionwill this wifi mesh system extend the range of my internet?
Asked by papa.
- A:Answer Yes! I was blown away. I had so much interference in my new home, I considered moving. With Eero Pro 6 along with the Arris Surfboard Modem, my home will not be on the market. These two items have been a lifesaver. Not only is my internet extended, it's powerful and reliable. It never fails.

Q: QuestionCan you set up more than 1 SSID on the eero Pro 6 AX4200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Wifi System
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Unfortunately no, the eero FAQ I think has their reasoning for not supporting that. Initially that was a massive problem as I've lots of dumb 'smart' devices that only operate on the 2.4 band. It creates a setup issue with some of those devices since when you're setting them up your smartphone/tablet if may need to be connected to the same band as you are configuring the device, but the phone/tables wants to/will connect to the 5Ghz band. Fortunately I found that hasn't been that big an issue as you can in the eero software tell it to disable the 5Ghz network temporarily for 15 minutes - no interruptions: 5Ghz devices temporarily fall back to 2.4, I setup whatever 2.4 only device, and several minutes later everything that fell back returns to the 5Ghz band.

Q: QuestionWill every unit come with two ethernet ports? Can they be used for wired backhaul or direct ethernet?
Asked by ZaddC.
- A:Answer If you're buying the eero Pro 6 all units will come with 2 ethernet ports, they can be used for either connecting to the rest of your network wired, providing network connectivity to other devices (wired or wireless). Some examples: - You can have an eero plugged in to get wired backhaul in one port & another port providing ethernet to devices - You can have an eero connected wirelessly to other eero providing ethernet connection to devices plugged into it. If you do need a switch for more ethernet ports, make sure to get an unmanaged switch.
