An Exhilarating Experience!!
Posted .Once you play this game you do not want to stop!! The menu setup is very similar to DOOM3. The gameplay is another story. The game that has the most similarities to this one is Battlefield 2. Enemy Territory has similar in-game tactics to that of BF2. The twist is that you need a different squad unit to perform a specific task. Rocket Launcher Infantry - sets up a charge on the enemy's contamination center ands needs to be guarded in order to with the game Sniper - needs to hack into the enemy's shields in order for the whole squad to infiltrate the enemy's base Those are just two of the many tasks to be performed in the game. This is the Shoot'em Up, Combat Strategy that many gamers have been waiting for!

really good multiplayer game
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendfirst of all, I recently got this game for 20 bucks from bestbuy and I am quite happy about that. if it wasn't for bestbuy, I don't know whether I would have bought it or not. second of all, I have a intel e6600 and 8800gts 320mb which lets me play this game at really high resolution with lots of AA. and I am quite happy with the performance of the game so far. This game is a multiplayer game, and it is quite fun because of that. I don't know whether it would have been this fun if it had a single player missions as well. But maps, weapons, objectives, team classes are done extremely well. and I am sure everyone will enjoy this game because of that. I never liked games like BattleField2 for certain reasons, but Quake wars really impressed me that I am very happy I got this game. I really like the fact there is no lag when I play Quake wars, I don't know whether that is because of the servers or because I play in 24 player servers. I have just one disappointment about this game though. According to quake wars stat website there are only 250,000 total players but it doesn't feel like there are enough people playing this game. I don't know whether people are playing something else or whether they lost interest but this game really deserves to have more players online. and I think a lot of people are missing out on this game because there are a lot of shooter games out in the market right now. maybe I should not even say 'a lot', there are way too many pc shooter games out in the market right now and more is coming in 2008 that it might make people sick of shooter games. :@( Finally, I want to thank bestbuy for having amazing PC deals, I got orange box for 25 bucks during black friday and now quake wars for 20 bucks. I am hoping I can get call of duty 4 for 29 bucks soon. :---) game prices is what I like the most about PC gaming, and I can't imagine myself playing games on anything else other than a PC. definitely shooter games are easier to play on a PC anyway. ;)

BEST of the BEST
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFirst and foremost, its a self updating game. No need to hunt around for the patches. Just hit yes when asked and it updates to 1.4 quickly. Out of the box it works flawlessly but the patch is needed for online play. Install it on as many pc's as you'd like but only one of the three profiles (associated with your key code )for online use)) can be online at any given moment. IT DOESNT NEED TO BE IN THE TRAY TO PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I run it on a 2004 model ASUS p5gd2 deluxe with a single core socket 775 3.2ghz intel w/hyper threading, 4 gigs ddr 2, and striped raptors, a fang pad and a logitech revolution wireless mouse. My graphics card is a geforce 8600 gt oc set on performance. I have absolute flawless gameplay even in close combat. I picked up this game in early october and it has taken up all of my interest in FPS games. The movement is much more fluid (hit shift to run or floor the pedal of a vehicle) IMO than any other game I have. Heres the ones I have but dont like as much, Call of duty 4, Crysis, HALO, Ghost Recon, Bioshock, Doom 3, Counter Strike, BF2 and 2142, Quake 4 and many more. If you plan on going online please do yourself a favor and do 2 things. 1-get to know the game (where and what each objective is and which class is needed to complete it) 2-use a headset (bind a key to "team talk"). Say " I'm new, any advice?". You may be surprised but quite a large amount (not all so keep asking around )of peeps will help because we want a growth of gamers. These 2 things should aleviate any feeling of "running around like a chicken with its head cut off" as another reviewer stated. Each campain has 3 maps to complete.(There are unlocks that players achieve along the way to the 3rd map, so if ya join in the 2nd or 3rd map, dont be surprised if you are being killed easier than the other guy) Most maps have 3 or more objectives. Capture and defend your forward spawn point while trying to complete each objective. Choose your team, GDF or STROGG, choose your class and let the frags fly. Remember that you can change class as often as you like in the limbo menu. It is one of the most important things in the game to complete objectives. Dont see the enemy? Change class to covert ops/infiltrator and put up a radar while you hack a dead oponents uniform and recapture the enemies forward spawn point. This Game IS ALL ABOUT TEAM WORK. Dont be fooled.Dont believe me???? Go on a server that has a few from 1 clan and watchem roll over you. Or if there is an opening on that team, join it and open your ears. You may learn alot. 1 more thing, there may be a time that you just dont care to hear a certain individuals comments. There is a real simple solution in game. Go to the limbo menu, click on the admin tab on the top right, a list of players apears. right click on a players name and select "mute locally". I've only needed it a few times so far. Dont give up on it. Learn it and you WILL love it!!! You can check your stats (play on RANKED servers), earn medals etc. , keep track of your accuracy kill/death ratio etc.. Everything you've done is stored on central servers so if you get a new pc, re-install the game on it and sign in with your game name and password and all is still there. I am currently ranked around 300th with about 400 hrs of online play on ranked servers. So does that give an idea of how happy I am with the purchase? Thats only 1 of 3 of my online accounts. BEST 50 BUCK$ I EVER SPENT!!!!! Happy hunting Frag ya later ; ) .

Good team based game
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought this game to play agains the computer as well as online and was quite suprised to find that it had very limited missions. Love the game, but after awhile playing the same campaigns (The Pacific, North America, Africa, and Europe) can be a little boring. Playing online this can be less of an issue, but is a huge let down if playing alone against the computer. Other than that it is very user friendly, pretty easy to get the hang of and the game play isn't that difficult. I would buy it again given the chance to do it over again.

ET:QW for the win!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is amazing! If you've played the Enemy Territory game for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, you already know what this is all about. This First-person shooter is based on specific team roles - each member of the team need to pull his/her own weight in order to obtain the objectives. Set in the Quake setting, using a modified Doom 3 engine, this game looks and runs amazingly well, even on my somewhat older (2 year old) computer. The 12 included maps are all intricate and well thought out. It's always easy to figure out what to do with on-screen objectives and multiple missions (just hit "m" to cycle through current missions). There are many different weapons, vehicles, deployables, and upgrades, so be sure to get accustomed to them before jumping online and playing with real people (don't let your team down!). There are many servers online already, so jump in there and show the world what you've got!

good game
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI was pleasantly surprised by this game. It is actually very decent. The only complaint i have is the limited multiplayer. There are also not a lot of players. Otherwise, the gameplay is fantastic.

Awesome game.
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI've been playing this game with my friends almost every night for the past week. I love the maps and the game balance. For everything one team has the other team has a great counter and vice versa. I def recommend purchasing this.
