My Epson printer displayed an message that my black in was out, fine. I went out to my local Best Buy to purchase a new black ink cartridge, only to come home and be told that the "yellow" ORIGINAL EPSON CARTRIDGE was no longer recognizable. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It displayed this after I already purchased and installed a new black cartridge? In addition, before It displayed that message, It did allow me to print one page, but it had horrible streaks and parts of the text I printed was not legible. I did a nozzle cleaning after that (which wastes a ton of ink) and then it displayed the message that the yellow cartage was no longer recognized. If Epson thinks I'm going to go keep buying their ink and supporting their company they are out of their minds. I will be returning the new black ink cartridge, if Best Buy allows, and not ever be buying any Epson products again. Time to replace this junk-yard printer and future ink purchases with a much better and more reputable brand! *Did some further research only and apparently this is a common problem with Epson products. Why are they not addressing the situation is beyond me.

The picture just show the black cartridge that all the associates' I spoke to said it would work. I believed them, but told them that it hadn't worked before. I got home, put in the black cartridge. Big surprise. No print . Of course, when I brought it back, unused, they wouldn't take it back because it was opened. $15.00 down the toilet. The printer went through $65.00 bucks a fill up and lasted as long as a Liz Taylor marriage. The Whole Epson line probably sucks; I'm not going generalize. I'm thinking except for the hassle of setting up a new printer, its cheaper to buy one, use the ink till it runs out, then return it saying the ink quality is fading.

My Epson printer does a nice job in all its various features., but the ink cartridges do not last very long and a full set of four color cartridges cost more than 60% of the price I paid for the printer. The ink cartridges are also not refillable (at this time). I have to keep a spare set of cartridges on hand in case the printer shuts down in the middle of a job. If the printer ever becomes unusable, I'll be stuck with a set of cartridges I'll never use. The cartridge itself does produce a nice printable product and I have no qualms with its quality.

I own the Epson printer that this print cartridge fits into and I don't print heavily so the printer and cartridges work for me. I don't really know how review a printer cartridge but I can equate that printer cartridges can be a bit like car or lawnmower batteries. One needs to drive a car every once in a while or the car and its battery will lose its charge. The same can be said for printer cartridges. One should use the printer every now and then or else the printer cartridges even if full or partially full of ink will dry themselves out.

Last longer than the model 88. I do wished Epson made a cartridge that would hold more ink, but, that would be redesigning the printer. For my everyday needs, these ink cartridges are worth the money. For example, not long ago, I went to a couple of name brand store to have 300 color pages printed. The price was just too much. I use my color printer, and Epson NX100 and printed everything for about 10% the cost of having it done elsewhere...yes, it took about half a day to print, but, I did save a lot of money!

Ink cartridges are just a pricey field to play in. You never know what type of quality you are getting if you try to save a few bucks and go with an off-brand cartridge. Sticking with brand name quality such as EPSON is the way to go. I wish the ink stayed for a very long time, but the wear matches your level printer usage. It is definitely better than a lot of past cartridge purchases. This 69 cartridge works the best for me as usually just print monthly bills and the ever important grocery coupons...

I buy Epson because I have the Epson Printer. I buy what my printer requires and because of that Epson is an overall quality Ink Cartridge.. I feel all cartridges are over priced not only for single cartridges but also for a set. It is painful to me that when one cartridge empties, the printer quits working and most printers do this.. I mainly use black and do not print photos or news items unless necessary. The consumer is caught in a win/loose situation with these cartridges.

I really like this ink as it is so easy to dispense and my printer is probably around 10+ years and have never had a problem with the ink. No problem with it smearing when printing, easy to place the cartridge in the printer and easy to take it out. However, I understand Best Buy will not be carrying Epson Ink so I will have to find a place to purchase it. My last 2 cartridges were mailed to me.
