It really has gone over my expectation specially for the price. I purchased it over a month ago and its ink usage has been great. I just purchased a CIS System for the Epson 1430 since I do a lot of printing. Hopefully it will continue to print great images. I definately purchase more of these printers in the near future and would recommend for personal or business use.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the goal of any printer is to make a quality print (duh!), this Epson 1430 more than fills the bill. The two comments I get on nearly every one of the printed photos I show others, is either "Now, who does your printing for you?" and "What kind of printer does work like THAT!" Of course, I always say that I do ALL of the work on my photos myself and that I use an Epson 1430...(or previously for 7-8 years, an Epson 1400, basically the same machine)...printer. It's always fun to see and hear the amazement from others when I reveal my "secrets"...!!

Ink use has been reasonable and it has handled all types of paper, even some hand made.

Fantastic quality of prints and very reliable

You can't see the individual ink dots with the naked eye like you can on many inkjet printers. Fantastic quality, deep dark colors (the yellow especially is much more visible compared to competitors). Canon seems to have brighter (almost neon-like) colors compared to the Epson, but I'd rather have the Epson colors as they're just much more visible. My only complaint is that the WiFi connection seems to be less than reliable - I've resorted to just using the wired USB connection. Other printers I've had in the same room haven't had any WiFi problems whatsoever. I wish it had a wired networking port so I could easily network it. A small downside for the best quality printer I've ever owned.

Fantastic printer at any price!

It is relatively compact, thrifty on ink, and extremely easy to use. I have only one complaint. The information supplied on the Best Buy website stated that Adobe Software is included with purchase. I can not find it and no one seems to be able to help. I would like an explaination concerning the software. Thank you.

- A:Answer No idea. But I use generics on it (get all 6 colors for like $6 shipped) and look much better than authentic Epson ink.

- A:Answer 1) I always use the High-capacity 6 pack Model: T098120-BCSSKU: 4777600 2) Have never used generic inks and it would probably make your printer warranty obsolete.
