A Good All Around Printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this printer in store to replace an Epson NX330 that had a paper jam. This new model is essentially the same printer, just freshened up style wise with a pleasing hood texture and sharp graphic interface. It's a great all around printer and scanner. It is easy to set up directly to a computer and remotely to my Mac. Ink usage is average I suppose, and ink cost is average. Which is to say the ink never seems to last long enough, and the ink is expensive. But it's my impression that this is the case with all desktop home printers. We use this printer for personal and home business use and it serves us well. We do not use the various print from flash card options, but we do use it to copy and scan. The only problem I have with this printer is that it's essentially a throw away product. The cost and complexity to get the unit professionally fixed is negated by the low cost of a new one. And there is no way to service the unit myself. We had a simple paper jam that killed the last one. I'll try and fix it myself in time but we needed a new printer ASAP so we had to goto Best Buy and pick up this new one. I try to switch brands every time this happens, but we've been happy with Epson so I gave them another shot. One note on shopping experience, Best Buy needs a way to readily compare ink usage or ink cost per page in store. I'm guessing the ink usage on this new Epson is okay. Overall though, you can't go wrong with this effective, economical printer. I'll keep buying them, and reluctantly landfilling or sending the old ones back to Epson if they have a take back program.

An outstanding printer for home use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I print mostly text documents with the occasional photo or cartoon. The prints are very good quality, both text and photos. I didn't expect the photos to look as nice as they do. It was extremely easy to set up. Just follow the instructions step by step. I had it wired to the computer at first then decided to use the wireless set up option to create more room around my desk by moving the printer to the other side of the room. The software is well written, helpful, easy to use and has lots of options. Basically, whatever level of quality you want to achieve while scanning or printing. This Epson is much than the HP printers I've been using. Sure, HP's are good it's just that the Epson is an all around step up.

Perfect size for our home office table
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally we were thinking of getting a Canon, but it was too big for our home office table. * Dimensions: H: 5 1/2" W: 15 1/2" D: 11 5/8" * Very easy to set-up. * It uses Epson 200/200XL ink. If you choose to use remanufactured ink, the printer will actually ask you if you are aware that the ink is not original epson ink and if you still want to continue using it. * Grayscale quality is very light. * A little noisy. If you're searching for a printer that prints while your baby sleeps, then this might not be for you. That's if your baby is a light sleeper, but if your baby doesn't mind the occasional drone every once in a while, then this is still great. * Scanner is good. Epson program that comes with the printer has different modes you can choose from to suit your needs.

Q: QuestionDoes it do 2 sided printing?
Asked by J.
- A:Answer Sort of, but it is a fairly manual process. You can specify you want 2-sided printing (on the print properties page) and it will pause after it prints the odd numbered page(s) then give you a pop-up message telling you to turn the pages over and hit resume. So it tries to simplify it, but you will have to turn it over manually to print the back sides.

Q: QuestionWhy do the Best Buy specs state that this printer cannot print photos? (It says "no" under photos for most Epson printers?)
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I honestly cannot tell you why Best Buy specs state the printer cannot print photos....I have printed photos using my printer. It makes me wonder if it is a mistake that it says no. Compared to other printers that I had to replace, this one does just as good a job at printing photos as the other. I prefer a matte photo paper rather than a glossy. I do not use the wireless at all as I prefer connecting it to my home pc or laptop.
