Great photo printer for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research and was going to purchase a much more expensive photo printer. The salesman at Best Buy recommended this printer and it was on sale, so I decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the quality of the 4 X 6 photos and the printer function itself. I am glad that I didn't spend a lot more on an expensive photo printer. I will have to see how long this printer lasts, but for the price I can buy 3 or 4 of these Epson printers when they are on sale for the price of one of the more expensive photo printers

Compact size with desired features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a size requirement when shopping for a printer. I also wanted to be able to print photos. This model is very compact and fits my space. I was fortunate that an Epson sales rep. was in the store while I was looking. (A nearby Best Buy staff member was helping another customer.) The rep. showed me how the different trays handle different tasks and materials, eg. standard paper, photo paper, write onto a CD. it would have been harder for me to fathom without his demonstration, low tech as I am. XP-630 may have been phased out since then but it is excellent for my needs. Wireless: great; mobile printing feature: not needed. Ink cartridges still give me sticker-shock.

Easy Install/Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Epson 630 is an easy to install/easy to use economical printer for the beginner or advance PC user. When this printer is on sale, it can't be beat for price/performance; just load (ink cartridges and paper) and go. When used with Windows operating systems that automatically detect new hardware and bring in required software drivers, there is nothing for the user to do to install this wireless printer. I have to admit that I was skeptical about the use of wireless equipment because of signal drops in wireless networks. However, so far (one month of continual use), I haven't had any problems with printing with the Epson 630 unit. I can easily recommend it to anyone who has concerns about budget-busting outlays for computer equipment.

Good value for money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer is easy to set up and use. I like the printing double sided feature; however, it makes it print slower. Printing is of high quality. The documents I scanned weren't crystal clear; however, they were good enough. I think it's pretty good value for the cost (I got it on sale) and it's pretty powerful for it's conveniently small size.

Beats HP Print Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I should have switched to Epson years ago ;) A much better quality print on standard paper. Can't wait to try some photos and artwork. Not too sure about life of print cartridges yet, but poor print quality probably takes less ink than crisp and clear. Of course the paper used will have something to do with that too. Also the fact that it is so compact with the trays all being safe from dust behind the control panel when not in use.

Great quality prints, a little loud
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to preface this by mentioning that I haven't tried the "quiet" feature of this printer yet, but I'm not sure that would end up helping out. Printer set-up was easy to follow and I love how little room this printer takes up compared to my old one. I'm also super happy about the wireless features, which my old didn't have. This one was recommended for me at the store and hasn't disappointed. I've done a few test prints since I got the printer, both regular prints and photos. There's some great quality pictures coming out of this, which I love because it'll be great for my photography. I also love that I can print onto DVDs...now I just need to find some that will print properly! Epson's site is easy to navigate and replenishing looks like it will be a breeze for ink and paper. My only real complaint so far is that when paper got jammed (it was my fault- I was using the cardboard sheet at the back of the photo paper, which I thought was an actual sheet) the printer complained LOUDLY. As in, loud enough that I took a few steps back, worrying it might blow up at me. It's loud and lasts a long time, with no way to stop it until the paper is finished jamming. There are only two other thing I'm not a fan of. First is that I have to open the output tray manually every time I want to print something. I thought I saw somewhere that it would do it automatically, but even if I didn't real that, I was kind of hoping it would... pulling it out every time is pretty annoying. Second is how flimsy both paper input trays feel. When I first popped them in and out again I worried I was going to break them, especially the top one because it pushes in farther than it needs to, and then you have to wiggle it back out to get it to the right spot. I'll get used to it over time but I would have preferred them to feel a bit more secure.

Very good color printer for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like that this printer is wireless, saves a USB port for another device. The wireless setup was extremely easy. Very good print quality in both black and color.

A great buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer was a great value. The print and scan quality is perfect. With its Wi-Fi connectivity, I don't have to run any cables from the printer to my laptop. I simply added the printer to my Wi-Fi network, and my MacBook Pro immediately found it. Even better, the printer prints directly to inkjet printable DVD-R's, which is becoming a rare feature this days. I would buy this again for sure.

Q: QuestionCD/DVD printingAccording to the description on the manufacturer's website, this model has the capability to print directly on inkjet-printable CDs and DVDs. I do not find this mentioned in the product description on the Best Buy website. As this is a necessary feature for any printer I consider, will this print onto CDs/DVDs?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, I was able to print onto a DVD! There's a slot right above the output tray to pull out and insert your DVD into. Just make sure the CD/DVDs you have are able to be printed on! I didn't check before buying mine and while it did print my design onto the DVD, the ink refused to dry because the surface wasn't meant for it.

Q: Question2 questions #1 What is cost of ink cartridges? #2 See Details. Our router is downstairs and the laptop is used on the main floor above. The laptop is wireless and works fine. Do I need more equipment for the printer to work correctly with the laptop Thank you.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I've paid around $12.00 per ink cartridge. A multipack that includes all colors and photo black goes for about $48.00. As long as the printer can find your Wi-Fi signal you should be able to print. You may need a Wi-Fi booster (like Apple Express) to strengthen the signal to reach the top floor.
