Customers praise the Smart Wi-Fi Video Doorbell 2K Pro Wired for its excellent video quality, ease of use, and straightforward installation. Positive feedback also highlights the convenient storage options and effective night vision capabilities. However, some users experienced issues with the motion detection's accuracy and notification response times. Concerns were also raised regarding the AI's performance in identifying humans and occasional delays in notifications.
Could be better. My main gripe is that notifications take too long to make it to my phone. Fedex came yesterday, rang the doorbell, and it took a whole 20 seconds for my phone to alert me (iPhone 13 Pro). I was on the same wifi network as my doorbell. Motion detection and alerts are very delayed too. I have the slider moved one tick down from the top for motion sensitivity as the camera flicker of my LED porch light triggered the motion detection at the top notch. The app also glitches out sometimes when accessing the camera, it gets stuck on “Establishing Secure Video Channel” from time to time, and requires me to restart the app. Outside of the those gripes this is a very good doorbell, the camera is high quality with continuous 5 day recordings, no monthly fees, and ease of use with plenty of customizability.

I have been using this doorbell for about 2 months now. I bought this to replace my Nest Hello Doorbell. Wanting to get away from Google, subscription fees and get better integration into my Home Assistant setup and decided to go with this Eufy Doorbell, particularly as it had continuous recording. Install was easy and straight-forward, getting it joined to my wifi and setup was simple as well. The video quality is okay; I don't believe it's really 2K, compared to my Nest it's not great. I do have Gig fiber internet so that is not the issue. In daylight, things tend to get a purple hue surrounding them particularly anything that is against the sky. Cloudy days are better than sunny; HDR setting doesn't seem to make a difference. Night vision is good, motion blurs so not overly useful. Would otherwise be an okay doorbell if it weren't for the awful motion detection. I have one of their Indoor 2K cams and just got one of their new Outdoor Cams; both have excellent AI and motion detection. Compared to those, this doorbell is terrible. I have tried adjusting every option, set sensitivity up and down as well as adjusted the detection area -- even searching the internet on best settings but it either alerts me for each and every blade of grass that moves or completely misses actual events. I have had packages get delivered where it doesn't register the person but yet a leaf on a tree moves slightly and I get a notification. If it weren't for the continuous recording I'd have no clue what I am missing. They have also been promising RTSP for over a year but haven't delivered. At this point, I have given up on that. I've considered going back to my Nest Hello doorbell, but don't want to have subscription fees again. Since this has continuous recording, I just turn up the motion detection, turn off motion notifications and if something happens I can always just look back at the last couple days.

I have now owned this doorbell for a little over 2 years and would like to give an honest review based on my experience. I chose Eufy because this doorbell does not "require" a subscription to be used as it has on board storage. With that said, there is an option for a subscription which will add 24/7 monitoring to your service. I choose not to go this route. The camera and doorbell work great, however the app needs quite a bit of work as more than one occasion i had to completely remove the app and restore it just to clear "some bugs". For instance, I would get notifications sent to my phone/app however, it failed to show them in the "recorded" section of the app. After waiting weeks/months for what i thought was a simple bug/fix, i gave up and decided to try and remove/reinstall the app on my IOS device. Thankfully this fixed it, that was one example of many little issues like that I have dealt with in the last couple of years. Now for my main problem with this doorbell and the reason I rated it so low. It seems after a little over 1 year I have noticed some de lamination happening in my doorbell (see picture). When i contacted Eufy they gave me the runaround of their standard troubleshooting (restart device, reload app, try on a different ISP...) yes you read that all right, I sent them a picture of the hardware itself showing the flaw and they sent me those troubleshooting to try. After a few emails back and forth and 2 phone calls, they eventually blocked my number, One more try on a different phone number, they essentially said "tough luck" you are out of your 1 year warranty. I guess these things just arn't built to last (or look decent) outside of one year. Disappointment and will look for another option when i replace this Stay away from Eufy if you can.
