Synopsis

The sitcom based on Chris Rock's recollections of his childhood continues with Season 2, which follows Chris (Tyler James Williams) during his eighth-grade year at Corleone Junior High. His camaraderie with best friend Greg (Vincent Martella) hits some turbulence when Chris runs for class president with Greg as his running mate -- but then drops Greg from the ticket because of his unpopularity. Although Chris does win the presidency, he's eventually impeached by his classmates after he's unable to follow through with his campaign promises. Notable episodes include Everybody Hates Malvo, in which Chris is robbed by a local thug (Ricky Harris) while working the cash register at the corner store. Later, in Everybody Hates Dirty Jokes, aspiring comedian Chris discovers the humor of Red Foxx and George Carlin, and he borrows their jokes to entertain his classmates. Memorable Season 2 guest stars include Whoopi Goldberg as an obnoxious neighbor, Jason Alexander as Corleone's new principal, Wayne Brady as Chris' uncle, Vincent Pastore as a bookie and Orlando Jones as a substitute teacher. ~ Angela Dalecki
