Greatest Technological Advancement
Posted .I've had the eye-fi card for about 3 weeks, after contemplating buying it for over a year now. The Class 6 upgrade and the endless memory features were definitely enough to make me buy. The setup is simple and painless, they even have steps for computer novices, but for those of you who are photography hobbyist, this is a great addition to your camera gear, you will be glad you bought. My daugher asked, what's the big deal, can't you just use the cord that came with the camera, sure, but for me, my pics, always remained on my card for months at a time because I hated the tedious process of uploaded pictures to my computer and then to the photosharing site. This card does BOTH at the same time effortlessly! I'm still amazed. Sometimes, I forget that I have it and I'll go to pull out the cord and say to myself, I don't have to transfer pictures, its already done. If you're worried about 4gb, don't its definitely enough, espeically with endless memory. In my opinion, if you're on a budget, this is the best one out all of the products, I don't need geo-tagging and I'm still trying to figure out the benefit of have the Ad Hoc feature in the 8GB, since you would still need to have your laptop with you.

This is how ALL technology should work.
Posted .This device does what it says. It transfers my pictures to my computer and/or online sharing & storage service using my existing wireless network. From the time I opened the package until the first pictures were taken and sent to my computer, less than 5 minutes had passed. They really thought of everything when designing this card. Here's what I like about it: (1). It can be configured for multiple networks: I travel between 3 wireless networks and the EyeFi card detects and uses each one. (2). I have the choice of having pictures sent to my Computer and/or an online sharing & storage service. (3). I don't have to train anyone how to copy pictures from the camera. All they need to know is to keep the camera and computer on for a few minutes after taking pictures. The card does the rest. I am however, manually verifying that the images are transferred before deleting them from the card, because its a new product. So far, so good. I've only tested it by taking a handful of pictures. It will be interesting to see how it transfers a week's vacation worth of pictures. (4). I get an email with thumbnail images, when pictures are successfully transferred. (5). The one I bought is bright orange, so it doesn't get mixed up with my drawer-full of SD cards. (6). It worked with my older Canon S5iS Camera. Honestly, I couldn't get this card to NOT work, once it was configured. I've purchased some costly equipment in my day, but I've had more fun with this $50 product than just about anything I've ever bought. Great job by the Eye-Fi Development Team!

Works as advertised, but could use some polish.
Posted .I wanted an easy way to make my workflow wireless, and eye-fi's card does that quite well. Transfers are quick and reliable, I can upload to a few online photo services or an FTP server of my chosing, plus my own computer. And that's whether I'm on my home network or tethered to my phone (I'm guessing eye-fi has some kind of proxy server which handles this process). The software does need some help, though, as the user experience is far from perfect. Basic setup is straightforward enough, but the UI is rather messy and not very intuitive in some of the more advanced settings. A techie like myself won't have too much of a problem with it, but inexperienced users might have some issues. One last item of note... this card does not transfer RAW files. If you shoot RAW a lot, you'll need to upgrade to a pro card. That's feature gimping, since it's obviously just a firmware thing, but it is what it is.

Great Idea for transferring photos to PC wirelessl
||Posted .No problems. Works just like a normal SDHC card with the added advantage of wireless functionality. 8 Gb is not a disadvantage because the card wipes the oldest pics after downloading once the card is full. All good.

Impressive
Posted .This takes all the hassle out of digital photography related to finding the cables and getting the right program load before downloading photos. I really like that it works even when the camera is not on, because it provides a backup of my images with no effort on my part. The application that runs it is a little cheesy in design, but that's just an aesthetic issue.

Great Card
Posted .Perfect device to keep your pictures organized with very little effort. Set it up and never worry about space on the card or transferring and organizing again. Plan to pick up a few more as gifts. Parents and grandparents will love this card. Now I can set it up for them and no longer be asked to get the pictures off the card for them. Price is a little high, but I think the value is there. Great product, only wish they made them in micro-sd (probably not possible with size limitations).

Perfect solution
Posted .Between my friend and I, we have purchased four of these cards. She was visiting from Australia and wanted to be able to post photos to her Facebook page. She did not want to pay for international roaming on her iPhone. We installed the eye-fi card, and it uploaded all the photos immediately to her iPad. She used my wireless and hotel wireless to upload to Facebook. This was a perfect solution. She bought two more cards for friends and relatives. I bought one and it worked fine in my small canon power shot. Hers was a small Nikon.

Easy to use!
Posted .A little on the expensive side, A slow upload if you have a lot of pictures on the card otherwise just fine. Put it in the camera and forget about it. With regular cards, I was removing them from the camera and putting the card into the computer to upload my pictures, now downloads automatically. Just turn on the camera and the computer and they download themselves. You still need to delete the pictures from the card yourself. The later being a good practice between shooting pictures.
