Not happy that it took Fox a year and a half to release this December 2011 when Volume 8 was released June 2010. Why did it take so long? Only positive, they did NOT release it Christmas week. The 2010 & 2011 shows have NOT been as funny as past episodes. Controversial episodes, normal for the show. Milestone. The 150th episode is here. And, I did NOT care for it when it first aired. Disgusting, out of line, NOT FUNNY bits between Brian & Stewie in the bank vault. Just did NOT work. Shows are uncut here. Disc 3 the 3 episodes are widescreen. So, WHY NOT ALL THE EPISODES WIDESCREEN? Normal extras in the package. Now, the DVD packaging. Has one of those card board slip covers THEN HAS ONE OF THOSE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE PLASTIC CASES WITH THE INTENTIONAL HOLES IN THEM. Extras says it has 1 episode of the Cleveland Show. Good, but not great. Just need to get the shows back up to normal funny.

As funny as this is, funnier than volume 8, to me, vol. 10 next year, will blow vol. 9 away. This particular volume has a lot to like on it; the nearly hour long, 'And Then There Were Fewer' is brilliantly funny and the visual effects of the whole volume (9) are incredible and second to none. A few of the shows are misses and not hits, but on the whole, it's great fun for any adult.

This continues in long line of Family Guy products. Some new extras are added to enhance this product to make it a little better than watching on tv. I wish though instead of releasing by volumes and do it by season and say seasons. packaging though is getting a little flimsy and you have to be sure to watch the DVDs so they don't get scratched if case cracks like mine did.

Family Guy volume 9 contains episodes aired in 2011 on Fox. The DVD is a must-have for collectors who have the entire Family Guy collection, but the writing is not as sharp as earlier volumes. Price point is about right, but focus on Volumes 1-4 if you are new to the series.

I strongly think the last review was inaccurately simply because they may not have purchase the uncut version. Now unfortunately if you want the uncut version and get the real deal you would have to buy the DVD in the store.

Another collection of Family Guy episodes including the rest of season 8 and the beginning of season 9. Note that it also includes the hilarious season 9 opener "And Then There Were Fewer" which is a parody of the classic "Clue"

An instant cult classic after it was originally cancelled by Fox. Fans poured in such a large amount of response that Fox decided to renew it. How can you not like Famliy Guy?
