With Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson co-starring, I sure didn't buy it for the acting! But you put these two guys who are lead powerhouses in the best "B-movies" for pure action, and the testosterone and steroids make the "Fast & Furious" series even better. I bought it for the unique and Limited Edition (Only@Best Buy) Steelbook, because I just HAD to have these beautifully designed metal-work for my collection, and even if I never take the plastic wrap off (Note to Buyers: Some GENIUS taped the paper that is a copy of the rear info and reads "LIMITED EDITION STEELBOOK" on the front on to the top and bottom of the Steelbook case, so you CAN'T watch the DVD/Blu-Ray without tearing off the "L.E. Steelbook" heading!) But other than that, Best Buy under the new Minnesota leadership brought the DVD market share away from Amazon and into their online sales and especially their stores - a ingenious move by Best Buy administration, but a hassle to buyers, especially in Los Angeles, where all us spend our hard earned cash on collecting these Steelbook beauties; but the online store has very few available, and each store is evidently given only one or two small shipments - so I had to drive from Hollywood to Temecula to get this Steelbook - because the POLICY is that NO STORE CAN SHIP STEELBOOK'S TO YOU, AND YOU HAVE TO PERSONALLY COME INTO A STORE THAT HAS COPIES, BECAUSE POLICY FORBIDS THE STORE MANAGER FROM SENDING STEELBOOKS TO A STORE NEAR YOU. So when Best Buy uses the word "LIMITED," that also applies to EACH STORE and ONLINE. I am a loyal "Elite Plus" Best Buy customer, but even I had to by some of these on eBay rather than drive to a store 75 miles away. So you can cross your fingers and try to get one of these great Best Buy ONLY products (like I did with the "Fast & Furious," but even I had to get one of the series off eBay to complete my collection. Getting them from Best Buy is the least expensive option - and these are GREAT GIFTS for movie collectors - because eBay offers are more than TWICE what B.B. charges: $40-$100-. Kudos to Best Buy President & CEO for getting their market share back. I am hooked on these new Steelbooks (if you couldn't tell from the picture I posted) and another note of caution: Target's "Metal" casing is a cheap rip off very different than (Limited Edition) Steelbooks. The "Only@Best Buy LIMITED EDITION STEELBOOK is the only way to get these great products...if you can buy them from B.B. Online, they ship them in protected packing, so not one of the 50 I have are bent or scratched. And if you are willing to wait for a Steelbook release - which includes both blu-ray AND DVD - you'll never have the plastic case cracked or broken, for the same price as the cheap packing of new movies: Best Buy offers Steelbooks for as low as $9.99, with new releases at $19.99 - $24.99. And they look GREAT on the shelf, much better than trying to read the edge of a blu-ray!

With the addition of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, in my opinion, makes Fast 5 one of the best movies in the Fast & Furious franchise. Fast 5 also brings the gang back together and introduces the beautiful and talented Elsa Pataky as a new police officer on the Rio de Janerio police force. Like always Fast 5 is full of action with those extra moments of humor that make it truly entertaining. Paul Walker (may he rest-in-peace) and Vin Diesel are at their best. It is a movie you won't regret watching!

I love the Fast and Furious series. They’re meant to be action packed and entertaining, and in my opinion, they deliver in spades. No one sees them for an incredible plot. With that said, while I love them all, Fast 5 is my favorite because it was th most balanced, introduced The Rock to the franchise , and resurrected the entire franchise into the blockbuster juggernaut that it is today. It was filmed in 35MM, and has a 2K DI (Digital Intermediate). Before you scoff, you should know that it looks noticeably better than the standard Blu-ray thanks to HDR and fine detail. It also has a great DTS X soundtrack that sounds as good as it is ever going to sound. Even the extended edition is here in 4K. If you’re a fan, it is worth the buy. Especially since is is frequently sold for less than $20.
