Great game
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Played the original when it was released and WOW, the story closely follows that and gameplay was a bit to get use too vs the turn base. I’d recommend this game to everybody, if they have a language filter. I didn’t look so I’m not sure.

Perfect Mix of Real-Time & Turn Based
|Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Pros mentioned:Design, Graphics, StoryI have always been a big fan of the turn based combat style that Final Fantasy X had. So I wasn't a big fan when everything was active/live and there was no time to think. FF VII has a mixture of the active time battle (ABT), but you are able to to bring the fight to a halt while picking in the commands menu (Spells, Items, Abilities). This allows me time to think during battles & keep the fluid motion of the game itself going. You can easily get 30+ hours of game play in your first go around (You unlock a hard mode once you beat the game). The story line keeps you interested along with the amazing graphics you would expect from this game. The equipment & materia (magic) is very open & forgiving. Allowing you to play to your style of game & have the opportunity to modify what you have done in the past. I highly recommend this game for any role playing game (RPG) gamer out there.

Better than I had anticipated!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Pros mentioned:Graphics, StoryI'm a hardcore fangirl for the FF Franchise and FF7 in general... I had low expectations for the Remake because I didn't know what to expect. Would the storyline be the same? Would it really FEEL like the characters I had come to love? I wasn't let down! The story is fantastic, the game itself has a TON of "after storyline" gameplay... Like... A ton. I'm a big fan of that, we have come to expect that from Final Fantasy and I'm happy to report that you'll get that with this Remake. I'm BEYOND excited for the next parts to come out because mannnnn I can't wait to see how this plays out! The battles took a bit to get used to but now I'm a master. Haha. If you like FF7, this is an EXCELLENT upgrade to current graphics abilities and you won't be disappointed.

A classic remade right!
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I would recommend this to a friendI'm going to start this off by saying if you like RPGs or have ever liked Final Fantasy in your lifetime, go buy this game! That should be the first thing you do after reading this review. I will avoid spoilers as much as possible here I played the original at multiple times in my life and I have to say I'm extremely impressed with this remake. Personally, this is a 10/10 for me (with minor flaws in game mechanics, some cringy things here and there, plus motorball the inner game critic in me says 9.5/10, yes I love this game). Now the reasons why: Characters: You get to dive into each character that you truly interact with. In the original the other members of Avalanche had little impact in the beginning, but here, they truly do. I felt so immersed with these interactions that I cared more for them. You dive more into the main characters as well, with the way they interact with each other as well as getting to better know them without diving into information that will be learned later on. The one who truly showed me the best in-depth work was Dr. Hojo. He is so twisted and evil, in a scene where he interacts with Aerith your skin just crawls. I thought he was evil in the original, but here you see just what kind of person he is. Combat: This is the best combat experience I've come across in FF. Each character in your party has perks that come in handy depending on the situation. Once you get a feel for each character, you can set your leader to whom you prefer towards the end and really go all out. The lock-on is a little tricky as it's very easy to engage/disengage as well as to switch to another target and throw off your groove. For those who are new to the FF world, I recommend not going to hard mode right away so you get a feel for the system. Story: The story of this game has me as immersed as Fallout 3 did. I honestly didn't know what to expect from the Remake compared to the original, especially with the extremely long wait, but I was sold quickly. There are some new features to the story, which some purists would hate (and that is okay, the original is honestly a perfect game), but there's so much to take in. I played easy the first go through because I wanted to focus on the story first and I was very happy with that decision. Avalanche, the residents of Midgar, the social media, & Shinra are just amazing. Overall, when I first heard about the remake of FF7 announced I was nervous especially when they said that the game would be segmented. The biggest downfall of this game is the fact that we have to wait for the next installment of this franchise. I'm excited for this series to be brought back to life and I hope that Square Enix doesn't mess this up
