While there is volume control on the radio, in alert mode, I have not been able to change the decibel level. Very sad when it's done for the third time in the night. Unplug it and the battery still makes it sound the alarm. Take out the batteries and it's no good as an alert.

This weather alert is way too complicated and in an emergency would be a disappointment and frustrating.
