True Birth of Thrash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like Metallica's Kill 'Em All album, this album is raw and unpolished, which makes it an undeniable classic. Scott Ian's insane rhythms and Neil Turbin's insanely high pitched wails make for a perfect combination. Definately influenced by bands like Judas Priest and Diamond Head. Also features the Armed and Dangerous EP, the debut of Joey Belladonna. This is a must have for Speed/Thrash metal fans. Highlights: Deathrider, Metal Thrashing Mad, Panic, Soldiers of Metal, Armed and Dangerous

Great Music, Bad CD
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fistful of Metal and Armed & Dangerous are 2 of my favorite Anthax records. Unfortunately, it sounds like the record company took shortcuts converting the analog audio to digital. It sounds like somebody took low quality mp3s and decided to burn an audio CD from them. I don't remember the original analog recording sounding nearly this bad.
